There Weeks Left

Zara wanted to keep the lab simple there were some essentials items she needed. Such as finding a place with a lot of sunlight and temperature control. The best spot is the waterfall because of the cool air. Looking around the wall near the waterfall. Zara taps the walls with a hard stick to find a weak spot in the walls. As she got closer to the waterfall. Something was shining inside the waterfall. Zara had never paid attention to the waterfall before. It was when she got close that she noticed something. She thought perhaps it was a hidden treasure or knife. In any case, she grabbed her bow walking slowly near it. With her aim ready to shoot and dragger by her side, she was prepared for anything. One step at a time she started to feel uneasy. Tumbling she hoped it wasn't a monster with every step felt like a horror film. Before she knew it, she was under the waterfall. Bright light reflected off the of one another she didn't know what it was. It all looks shiny to her, the hidden cave lit up like fireworks with crystals of many different sizes and shapes. Growing out of the cave Zara has never seen anything more beautiful than this.

She didn't touch them or go all the way inside the cave she wanted to wait for Ondo because he might know what they were. Meanwhile, she wanted to use the cave for her lab after garbing an ax she went to cut some trees down. Zara was only able to cut small trees

gathering her items. Zara made a quick visit to the cave to drop off her items. Zara went to the water bank she was careful not to get injured. Because she knew Ondo would be upset. What she want the most was clay unearth the water is marine clay that she could use to make pots. By digging underwater with her bare she was able to collect a large amount of clay.

She was walking back to the camp she realizes that dead bodies were being to decay. Only the women were infected with poison from the dead body. Can attract dangerous creatures. Moving them would be the best option. Their body was fully clothed Zara took the man's clothes she discovered that they had money on them that is called gilds.

She was amazed because there was different shape some of them was semi-circles while other was hexagon.

Zara almost had what she needed there were a few more items such as metal or glass. Some of the items were easy to collect such as charcoal, stones, wood, and clay.

Zara started a fire in the front entrance of the cave when the temperature was right she threw in the line stones she collect.  There are ancient techniques that she saw many people do.

Meanwhile, she turned her attention to something else.

The Outside of the cave

The cave was in the back of the woods where trees surrounded it. But the cave sticks out like a sore thumb

to blend in with the environment. She covers the outside of the cave with sticks and tree leaves. Grabs some leaf's off nearby trees she smashes them until they became a paste. It was similar to paint spreading the paste on the large rock that is used as a door. Before it dries she put leaves to blend with the area. But she left the symbol for Ondo to get back to the cave. It may not be noticeable to other people but Ondo would understand it.

The cave was camouflaged in the background it was hard to tell the difference. The forest was beautiful and full of color and the smell was refreshing you could hear the birds chirping.

After taking a moment of rest she went back into the cave she still had some bamboo and ordinary tree branches left with a thin sharp rock. Zara cut some of the branches up into thin small rectangular pieces. Later on, they will be used for wooden nails. She craved the wooden Branches to make it smooth out of the wooden branches Zara made.

Zara was exhausted she left the cave slightly open for Ondo

After a moment of rest, she went back out into the deep forest and grab some more material. The rocks were heating up she threw water on the fire. Letting the outside cool down then she put them in a bowl of water when the rocks fell in the water they started to bubble up mixing them to gather with normal dirt turning into limestone cement. she plans to use the cement to repair some of the walls in the cave that was cracking. After checking the walls again she started to work on the repair.

Ondo Day

On the Other Side of the Forest

Ondo is an experienced hunter ever since he was a little boy his father taught him everything about hunting. He taught me the smart way to hunt without injuring himself there are a few traditions he follows.

1). Have your supplies- The most important thing in a hunt is supply running out of supplies while hunting can be dangerous. Ondo came up with a solution to solve that problem he was four small hidden storage bunkers in a different area. if he ever runs out of items he could go get the item from his bunker the bunkers are not far from his main camp.

2) location of prey- knowing where to find the prey is a key part of hunting Ondo plans to hunt the Kiti deer, Lampo Lamb, Puffo spider, and the golden fish.  The forest is split into different regions the lower region has small animals such as rabbits. The middle region has a dangerous mutated monster that can be difficult to hunt. The last one is the upper region where the most dangerous monster lives. Ondo never went up there to hunt because it was far from the camp and too dangerous. Most of the monster he will be facing is in the lower and middle region normally he set up small traps in the lower region and then go to the middle region.

3). Never hunt in the dark- There are a few reasons why hunting in the dark can be dangerous but the main reason are the most dangerous monster come out at night to hunt for food.

4). Never leave traces of blood- other monsters can smell the blood. It is best to drain the blood before traveling with the prey. Ondo also drains the blood on-site unless there is an issue he has also collected the monster blood to sell it.

. THE HUNT

The being of his hunt Ondo set up traps around the lower region including the large rivers. The traps were for large fish and crabs.  Some rivers grew rice plants although the plans haven't fully grown to harvest. He plans to come back in a week he headed toward the breeding ground, Kiti is similar to a large deer. It is part of the deer family however they are more aggressive than deers. But for Ondo, they are easy prey.

He killed two quickly skin and gutted them there were only a few parts on the body of Kiti. That was safe to eat the rest was unsafe Ondo set a trap with Kiti's meat. To Catch a monster called piggy is similar to a large pig. But hunting for them is hard because they are fast and good at hiding. They always travel in packs of three and they love Kiti meat. He set his trap in the middle of the forest and climb a tree and waited.

The piggy came in the middle of the forest and he didn't waste any time killing them Ondo also collects wool from a Lampo. He didn't kill it because it was worth more alive Ondo just need Lampo's skin which is similar to wool. Afterward, he collects skin from a spider called Puffo they leave their web around near their breeding ground. In the middle of his hunt, he had to go to his bunker. From there he collects the monster's blood, meat, and skin. On his way back to his camp he went to the river where he set the fish traps as he was getting his prey. A snapper fish bit his arm and the fist sink his teeth deep into Ondo's skin it took him by surprise he was little stock by it. He didn't feel it he look to see what type was first he killed the fish quickly grab his prey and ran toward the camp.

The snapper fish is poison with the effects of paralyzing Ondo knew if he didn't he would be in danger halfway there he started to feel the effects. His body felt heavy a few times he thought he was going to collapse but he made it back to his camp. He saw how different it was and was amazed he saw Zara waiting on him. She walked up to him and wrap her arms around him with a warm greeting but he collapse in her arms.
