Aethelfrith's POV

"Should I call her, should I not call her" I contemplated to myself while plucking out the flowers in the garden.

"You have been doing this for hours" Leon said with anger and frustration evident in his voice.

I glanced up from my task, a small smile playing on my lips.

"Patience, Leon. Patience," I replied calmly.

"I need to make sure everything is perfect before I reach out to her." Leon let out an exasperated sigh, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You've been saying that for days, Aethelfrith. It's time to make a move or move on."His words struck a nerve, and I felt a pang of uncertainty in my chest.

Was I overthinking things?

Should I take a leap of faith and reach out to her?

But what if she rejected me?

I turned my attention back to the flowers, plucking a particularly vibrant blossom. The petals felt delicate in my hands, mirroring the fragility of my emotions.

"I can't help it, Leon," I confessed softly.

"There's something about her that draws me in.
