As we returned to the bustling human world, I coughed violently, still feeling the slight weakness taking over my body. However, I was determined to reunite with my daughter after several years apart. I walked to Lily's house, sniffing her scent on a piece of clothing I still kept in my pocket, stopping in front of her house, lacking the courage to continue.

"Aren't you going in?" my beta asked seriously, observing me.

"I think it's better to wait a little longer," I replied nervously. I didn't know how Lily would react to seeing me after so long, or if Hope would even remember me.

My vigilant eyes scanned the surroundings, and in the distance, I spotted Lily's car dropping Hope off at school. I decided to follow her silently. As I walked through the shadows, my attention was captured by a sight that warmed my heart. Hope, my daughter, had turned into a beautiful young woman since the last time I saw her.
