Chapter hundred -two

Katherine’s POV

A huge rumble of explosion woke me out of bed, and I jumped into action, my heart hammering like a drum.

It was weird, almost like I went back in time, and I was at Serenity where Shadow was attacking us all over again.

I quickly put on my dress because I'd already selected my outfit days ago, I didn't want to be taken by surprise.

Calen treated me to the most amazing dinner night yesterday almost like he knew that this was going to take place.

I was halfway out the door when another boom sound rocked the house similar to an earthquake and I dived towards the bed, holding on to something strong. It passed and I was able to stand up without the fear of falling. I ran out the door and into the hallway to meet a total mess. Several pieces of furniture were turned upside down and the entire place in disarray.

I could see masked men fighting, trying to get in but our men were holding them down. From here I had a clear view of what was going on outside and my stomach twisted
