Chapter 40 Heat

Third Person's POV

Aiden woke up unbearably hot and sweaty. He rolled away from Thaddeus, hoping it would help, but it didn't. If anything, it almost seemed to make it worse. Aiden tossed and turned before kicking the covers off, hoping that would cool him down. Unfortunately, that didn't help either.

Aiden glances at his nest and considers crawling inside. But his body feels too hot, and it continues to get hotter until he begins to feel a dull pain in his stomach. The dull pain gradually became sharper as his body became hotter. The Omega's hair clung to his face. His head moves side to side as he pants.

The pain became unbearable, and the Omega whimpered as he held his stomach. The once dull pain became so sharp it felt as though someone stabbed him in the stomach with a hot knife and turned it. Aiden screamed as he curled into a ball. An intense itch covered his stomach, and he began to claw at it, unable to relieve the itch.
