*** Trigger warning!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ *** Aiden's POV Jackson reaches up and grabs ahold of my chin firmly, yanking my face toward him. "You've been a bad boy Aiden!.. You're MINE!" he yelled. "And you ran away! You thought you could run away from me? I think I need to teach you what happens when you run away." Jackson said. His eyes rake over my face and neck, then snap back to the area, where my neck and shoulder meet. He yanks my head to the right, exposing my mark, and growls so loud I flinch. His grip gets tighter, painfully, and I whimper. "What is this shit?" He said, staring at my mark from Thaddeus. "You let that bastard mark what's MINE!" He said, growling at the end. He holds my jaw in a death grip with his left hand, and my eyes go wide when I watch his right hand come up with his claws extended. I squeezed my eyes closed as tight as I could before I felt the excruciating pain, as his claw digs into my neck. I screamed, and felt the tears rolling down my face as he pra
*** Major Trigger warning!!! ***Careful reading this chapter. If you're easily triggered, you might want to skip this chapter. Specific triggers are not listed, it spoils the chapter. *********** Aiden's POV I don't know how long I was unconscious after I passed out. All I know is I woke up, and I was still hanging from the ceiling by chains. He left me there, hanging from the ceiling, bleeding and in pain. I had to have been up there for at least a day or two, before he finally came and let me down. He didn't say a word, he simply walked behind me and unhook the chains, letting my body drop to the ground. I didn't even have the strength to brace myself, my body collapsed with a loud thud. I was thankful when he unhooked the cuffs and took them off. The metal had been digging in and cutting into my skin. Once he had the cuffs off, he tossed them to the side, before turning and walking up the stairs without a word. Oddly, the basement is almost set up exactly the way my old baseme
Third Person's POV After what felt like an eternity, Thaddeus finally knows where Aiden is. Marcus and Leo are Thaddeus's best trackers, and they found him. Jackson has him in a cabin on a piece of property his father owns east of Asher's territory, and it's not guarded. It's just Jackson and two other people, one of them being Eric. Eric has been working with Jackson and was one of the people who was armed with a dart gun that day. It makes Thaddeus sick knowing how that bastard treated Aiden under his nose. Thaddeus looks out at the group of 50 men standing outside the front of the pack house. He barks off his orders and then shifts. With Marcus, Leo, and 50 warriors, the Alpha leads his men to rescue his Luna. “Hang on baby, I'm coming,” Thaddeus said to a link that wouldn't open. Thaddeus couldn't wait to have his Omega back in his arms. The nights have been so lonely and cold without him. The Alpha has barely slept. He stares out the window every night, thinking about his Om
Thaddeus POV It's been almost two weeks since everything happened and I'm still a mess. I hardly eat, I haven't showered and I've barely slept. I haven't left this room, I just want Aiden back in my arms. I want things to be the way they were. I miss holding him, I miss the way he would climb on top of me in the middle of the night while he slept. I miss the beautiful sound of his purr, I miss looking into his beautiful eyes. I miss how he would glare at me when he got angry. Goddess, he was adorable when angry. I've been back home for 3 days and I haven't left this room... I can't... Not until he wakes up. The doctor said I got him there just in time. He lost so much blood they had to give him some. His poor body was so battered and beaten. That bastard hurt him so bad down there, the doctor said she had never seen anything like it. He was torn up so bad it required stitches. His back was a disaster. That bastard used wolfsbane so he wasn't healing. The skin was torn from his ba
Thaddeus POV I don't understand what I did wrong. He won't even let me touch him. The way he jerked his arm out of my hold hurt. I know it's not the same thing, but I can't stop the thoughts and the feelings... The same ones I had when my first mate was rejecting me. It was like déjà vu... I remember reaching out to touch my first mate, to say something. But the words never finished leaving my mouth. He quickly jerked away from me and looked at me appalled that I was even trying to touch him. I don't think Aiden feels that way, but I couldn't stop the memories they came flooding back. I can still hear his voice, and see the disgust on his face as he looks at my legs. I can still hear the hateful words about my legs, and everything he thought was wrong with me. My wolf whined in my head as we left, hurt and scared of going through that again. I can't feel him, I don't know if it's because his wall is up, or if it's from what that asshole did to my mark. His mark is completely scar
Aiden's POV I woke up feeling warm and comfortable. I nuzzled into my pillow when suddenly I felt someone run their hand through my hair. My stomach dropped and I squeezed my eyes closed tight and whimpered. Oh, Goddess, he's back! Is he going to hurt me again? I feel the tears instantly fill my eyes and my chest tightens. I feel like I can't breathe as my chest rapidly rises and falls. I hear a voice, but I can't make it out. It sounds too far away and muffled. I feel arms wrap around me, and a hand grabs my head and turns it, placing my cheek firmly against his bare chest. Before I realized it, I feel and hear a strong vibration, as a hand runs through my hair. Almost instantly I'm able to breathe and slowly calm down. After a few moments of the soothing vibration, I feel completely relaxed and safe. The hand that was in my hair reaches down and lifts my head up and I come face to face with the most beautiful eyes. "Thaddeus?" I whispered. "Yes, baby it's me." He says as t
Aiden's POV It's been 3 weeks since I've been back, and the nightmares are getting better, I'm having fewer of them. Thaddeus told me they got Eric, but they were unable to get Jackson. Jackson was able to escape, and that terrifies me! I know he's going to come for me again, and I want to be ready this time. Abigail and I have been training much harder, and our powers have grown significantly. Abigail thinks that the better we get at using them, and the more we use them, the stronger we will be. My aim has improved, and I hardly miss when I throw my fire at moving objects, they throw for practice. Abigail on the other hand never misses. She's perfected her abilities, and she's amazing at sparring. I've been training with Marcus 5 days a week. It was really difficult for me at first because I'd never trained before. But I'm a fast learner and I'm getting better each day. We recently started incorporating my telekinesis with sparring, and Marcus says I'm doing amazing. With the
Aiden's POV I'm so excited I can barely sit still as Thaddeus drives. I've never been to a human city or a restaurant! As we drive through the city, I realize it's not that much different than ours, except a little bigger. But Thaddeus said that's because our cities here in the UP are generally smaller. He told me one day, he'll take me down to the mitt, where the cities are much bigger. As we pull up to the restaurant, I'm already in awe. I watch Thaddeus pull his wheelchair out, before climbing into it. It's funny, but this is the only time I seem to realize he's in a wheelchair. Most of the time I don't even see it, I just see him. But seeing him actually pick his wheelchair up and put it back together then climb into it from the car, reminds me of what I've become used to seeing, or just don't see anymore. I know he was afraid his legs would bother me, but they don't, not in the least bit. I love everything about him, including his legs. I smile when he turns my way after shutti
