Chapter Twenty-Two

Fiona was awakened by the determined ringing on her phone by only God knows who. She ended the call without looking at the caller Id. Who on earth called someone by the virgin hour of the morning, it was a good thing she didn’t have to report to work today until 12noon. This was one of those weeks she looked up to. Luckily for her, she had succeeded in clearing up her works with tight deadlines. The one with the Landmark company had been a herculean task but good griefs, she was done with that too, she had finally finished it up over the weekend. At least, she could finally breath properly this week with no deadlines hanging on her neck. It wasn’t like her freedom was going to last anyways, but for now, she just had to enjoy her victory without thinking about the stress of the future.

It was a good thing it was just 6am, she could get to rest a little bit more, maybe two more hours before she would have to get ready for work. She sighed and was about drifting back into sleep when the
