“Let me go," Ariel screamed pushing away the hands of the man who was holding onto her, she had been doing her daily innocent job in the hotel when she was suddenly pulled into a hallway and a few men tried to kidnap her.
"Let go of me, where do you think you are taking me to?"
"Stop screaming girl else you will end up being beaten, you should be grateful you are not being thrown down the building." A bulky built man said sending a glare toward Ariel.
Ariel shanked back in fear, she was scared and the dark hallway didn't make it any easier for her. Goosebumps formed under her skin, and the cold pierced into her body. "Please let go of me, I do not know who you are. I did not borrow money from you either, please spare me. Did any of the people I owe money send you to me? Please I will pay back."
"I just need to take my paycheck from here in a few days and then I can pay you back your money." Ariel pleaded in fear, she had borrowed a few dollars to save her mother from dying but here she was been kidnapped.
"Keep your mouth shut little girl. No one asked you to speak, just walk behind us and you will be okay. But if you dare say one more word then I will throw you down this building without following the orders that were given to me."
The leader of the men remarked stopping to glare at Ariel, the scar on his face made him appear scary and it made Ariel shiver in her pants. "Please spare me, please let me go. Please let me go, please. I will pay back the dollars I owe you."
Ariel continuously pleaded but it all fell on deaf ears, the men pulled her towards another dark hallway. They pulled her ruthlessly which resulted in her getting a cut on her legs from her shoes, her shoes had worn out underneath making it incredibly hard for her to ignore the pain.
Her blood dripped on the ground as she walked. "Boss, what are we going to do?" The man holding harshly onto Ariel's hand and pulling her asked his subordinate who was his senior.
"The miss said to bring her to the room, we will get her there and then the miss can make the decision on what will happen to her." The bulky man replied and the other nodded his head.
Ariel wondered what young miss they were busy talking about, she had made sure not to step on any of the high-class members of the high society in the hotel. Ariel always made sure to live a cool and calm life, she always took in the tantrums and fulfilled the wishes of the guests without saying so much as a word.
"Can I know what young miss you are talking about? I would like to apologize if I caused her any inconvenience, ease. Let's talk this out please." Ariel pleaded even if she didn't know her wrong, she apologized fervently with tears falling down her eyes.
"Shut up your mouth! Not another word from you." The bulky man threatened glaring at her and Ariel quickly snapped her lips shut.
Ahead of them a commotion was going on, a few men in black stood outside a particular room with worry on their faces from inside the room the loud voice of a man thundered in fury. "Find me a fucking woman or get me my medicines! Why the hell are you all standing there like a damn piece of art?"
Dylan thundered glaring at the men through the open space of the room, the bodyguards all stood rigid with worrisome expressions on their faces. They did not want to make the president angry, making him angry was equal to the whole of the U.S.A. losing their lives.
"What are we going to do? The chairman said to wait for Miss Kent to arrive, she is not here yet. What should we do?" One of the guards whispered to the other and the friend frowned in worry.
It was a bother to leave the president hanging in such kind of situation but they had gotten orders directly from the chairman.
"Let's find a woman quickly and hand her over to the boss. The chairman won't find out about it, we can just say the President picked a woman by himself." Another suggested and the people nodded their heads at the idea of their friend.
"Where are we going to find a woman? This is getting worse." The first guard muttered hearing the sound of the vases and objects falling and breaking inside the room.
While they were busy thinking, they heard the cries of a woman from up close. The men exchanged glances among them as if to say, they had found a saving grace.
Their eyes snapped to the people walking towards them and their eyes fell on Ariel being pulled by the group of men. "Why don't we take that woman? She seems to be in trouble with those men, we will be saving her from them."
"Yes yes, we are saving her from whatever trouble she is I'm right now. Round up the men and knock them all unconscious, you can also send them to the ocean." The head guard remarked and the others nodded proceeding to fulfill the order given to them.
The men pulling Ariel stopped in their footsteps when they noticed a few men walking towards them, the bulky man came to stand in front of his men with his hand crossed over his chest. He blocked the path seeking trouble.
"A group of well-dressed men, what an honor to meet with you all. We are passing through the hallway so why don't you hold on and wait?" The bulky man suggested gazing at the bodyguards with a condensing look but they had no time to play with him.
"Get them." The guard said to his subordinates and they all swung into action. Ariel wondered if a gang fight was going on, she stood still instead of moving away from there and escaping from the scene her curiosity taking the better of her.
The guards took down the men in no time, Ariel who was standing with a confused look on her face was pulled by the guards towards the door.
"Let me go, what are you doing?" Ariel screamed wondering if she was going to keep getting kidnapped all day long, she should have run away immediately, she regretted not running away when the fight was still ongoing.
"You will be paid for your services lady, you do not have to worry about it." The guard said before pushing her into the slightly opened room and then the door was closed.
Ariel stumbled and fell on the ground inside the room, a puzzled expression appeared on her face but more than being puzzled she was scared. She quickly stood on her legs and her action caused pain to shoot up her legs, she disregarded the pain and instead turned and began knocking on the door furiously.
"Let me out of here! Somebody help me!." Ariel yelled but no one heard her words. While Ariel was busy knocking on the door, a pair of sapphire blue eyes made their way toward the girl.
"Let me out of here! Somebody help me!." Ariel yelled but no one was hearing her words or listening to her. While Ariel was busy knocking on the door, a pair of sapphire blue eyes made their way toward her.Pushed into a dark room without anyone to listen and help her, Ariel shrank down in size. The fear and anxiety she had been trying to hide from others a while ago, hit her a hundredfold."Let me out of here, can't you hear me? What is this place, what the hell is going on here." Ariel continued banging but it all fell on deaf ears, the men outside refused to listen to her plea. Instead, they prayed in their hearts that their master loved the girl.Ariel stifled when she felt the air behind her changing, she turned around, her eyes met with the sapphire blue eyes staring back at her and she turned into a mumbling mess. "W.. what are you..u doing...g? Please let me go, I am so scared. Ple.a...se d.. don't hu... at me."Ariel pleaded bending her head, Dylan's eyes narrowed on the woma
"I understand your words miss, but before you become our matriarch. The current head of the family is our master, we only take orders from him and no one else."" Please pardon us miss, can you please leave? The master won't like it if he gets awoken by the noise." The head guard remarked.Charity's frown deepened, her fingers turning into a fist in anger "Are you trying to say I am making a noise here? Are you calling me a nuisance right now? It seems you don't value your job so well, it seems you want to get fired right now." Charity growled in anger.Worry appeared on the faces of the other guards, offending the young miss was like asking for trouble."Please young miss don't get angry. He is just trying to tell you that, you should please return. We will inform the master once he wakes up that you came here." One of the guards chirped in trying to save his superior."Yes young miss, we will tell the master of your visit when he wakes up. You do not have to get angry, we will put i
Dylan frowned at the questions, the bites he was getting from the little woman he was hugging to himself didn't give him any chance to think either."She is my Fiancee," Dylan said without second thoughts, he placed his free hand on Ariel's head and patted her head softly. He tried to soften his expression a bit to show he was not lying, he tried to act a little bit affectionate with Ariel, and at the same time, he tried to stop her from biting him. "Is this true? Is she your fiancee? Then what about Miss Charity?""Miss Charity says you are her fiancee and also you are going to be getting married soon. Are you trying to say Miss Charity is lying?""Mr. Dylan, is this woman your fiancee? If she's your fiancee then why don't you show her face to the world? Why are you trying to hide her identity.""What family does she belong to? Which family is she from? What university did she attend? Is she an heiress too like Miss Charity?" The reporters asked another batch of questions immediately
"There is no need for that Grandpa, I already brought home my fiancee. Or rather my wife, the woman I chose to marry is right here.""Gary you don't have to find the information, I will provide you with everything you need. Grandpa." Dylan muttered in a not-so-bothered voice, if the old man was furious previously then he was fast and furious now."You scoundrel of a grandson that I have. How dare you! I arranged for you to spend time with Miss Charity but you choose to do as you wish, you even got a fiancee too.""Just kill this old man, you do not respect him anymore. Someone get me a knife, my grandson wants to kill me." Dylan's grandpa yelled loud enough to gain everyone's attention, acting like the attention seeker he was.Ariel shrank back and hid behind Dylan when the old man screamed, she shivered like a little turtle. Scared by the screams of the old man. "You scared my fiancee, Grandpa. I mean my soon-to-be wife.""Why did you set up a date with Miss Charity? I clearly stated
Dylan held Ariel's hand and started to leave, walking out of the classy European-styled mansion. Ariel could feel the hateful glare of Dylan's grandfather and the other people around them. 'Am I doing the right thing? Is this not a mistake? Who knows what this people are capable of doing to me?' But then she looked up at Dylan, and seeing the determined expression on his face, her mind was reassured a little bit. He looked like he would protect her no matter the odds. She remembered him as someone she used to know, but not who he was to her. "Dylan Grey! If you step out of this house, don't even bother coming back! You have defiled me and everyone in this family you hold dear by being with that woman!" Dylan stopped when he heard that, but he did not turn to look at his grandfather. Dylan's Grandpa smirked, believing his words had finally reached Dylan. He thought his words scared Dylan. "That's right, son. If you insist on marrying that woman, fine. You can go ahead, but I will
As Ariel, Dylan, and Paul drove to the hospital, Ariel's heart beat rapidly. She could not believe how fast the situation had developed, from having to spend the night in the room of an unknown man to finding out that this unknown man could be the father of her child. She sighed heavily and noticed Paul staring at Dylan.Dylan made funny faces at Paul, making Paul giggle happily. Now that she saw them up close, she realized they resembled a lot. They had the same eye color, the same type of hair, and the same skin texture. They looked so much alike it was hard to believe.Yet, Ariel could not get her hopes up. He could not be the father, after all. After all, the mansion was a big one, and any man, even the butler, could have been the man she had a one-night stand with. She had always wished she could find Paul's father as she didn't want him to grow up without a father like she did, but she had resigned herself to fate already when she had been mercilessly chased out of the house by
"I don't know, Dylan. This feels too odd to me. I'm not sure I can marry you.""Think about it. I will make it worth your while. It will just be for a year. It's to put my grandpa off my back for some time. We won't interfere with each other's affairs throughout the marriage. We will live in separate rooms, have separate lives, and only be married by name. And it will be for a year. After a year, we'll have a divorce and go our separate ways. But I'd still be fully responsible for Paul, my son."Ariel looked down, avoiding Dylan's eyes. The offer was very tempting. She did need money, and Dylan was offering her any amount. Any amount she needed. He was rich, so he'd surely fulfill her request. But could she do this? Could she get married to this man? A man she had only met, maybe twice? It didn't matter if he was the father of her son. He was a total stranger to her."You don't have to give me an answer today. You can think about it and give me an answer whenever you're ready. Here's
For as long as Ariel could remember, she had always worked in one job or the other. And they all didn't pay well because of her limited education and the usual exploitation of the poor by the rich.Ariel had once worked at a coffee shop, as a sales girl in a supermarket, as a delivery girl, as a nanny, as a maid, and now as a sales clerk. When she worked as a maid at Dylan's mansion, it was to get money for college since her parents could not afford it.But it had ended in her getting pregnant and being kicked out after she had made a drama there.Ariel sighed heavily. Her parents had separated when she was in high school. She still remembered how turbulent those days had been. Her parents hated each other to the core and just wanted to kill each other. They were also very irresponsible, and Ariel had had to work at a café shop to provide for the family's needs after that time.It had only been recently that she and her mother had started to get along. She hated her before because sh
