She had wanted him to understand her choice and respect it but now that he understood the situation so well and was not showing any signs of having a hard time letting her go it somehow hurt her pride.

"What do you mean?" He asked pulling away from her and holding her shoulders.

"I am leaving as your assistant but it does not seem to bug you," she said with a pout. She felt the need to drag out the situation and sulk but she knew she might be the one in the end to reach out to him and she did not have the energy for all that yet.

"Why would it not bug me? I would be so helpless without you, who else can do such a great job like you?" he asked closing his eyes.

"But you seemed so relaxed about the news," she said as her voice trailed off till it was almost silent.

"I mean you are doing your own thing, something you have always wanted. I am so happy for you and I don't want to tell my feelings to get in the way of what you want" he said.
