"Are you ignoring me? I'm talking to you!" Emily's furious voice broke through my thoughts once again.

I cleared my throat, trying to regain my composure. Just as I was about to respond, Mara stepped forward.

"It seems like you're itching for another slap, isn't it?" She remarked dryly.

Emily's face darkened at Mara's words. "I don't know where you get the nerve to talk back to me, you lowly servant! Just because you managed to slap me yesterday, you think you're on the same level as me, don't you?"

Mara glanced at her with disinterest before letting out a bored yawn. "Are you finished?"
