Chapter 4: Your Mom Said

Chapter 4

Dear diary,

I found some things out: 1.) Snowy isn't a regular wolf, he's a werewolf; 2.) the guy whose snowy when he's a human, knew my parents before they died.

Somehow him and I managed to cross paths? Coincidence? Yeah, no I don't think so.

I took an extra shift at work today for not being so... prepared or whatever you wanna say, yesterday.

So, unfortunately, I didn't get home until like 12:00 in the morning and I was absolutely exhausted! But when I got home, I was greeted by my big, furry, friend.

"Oh! Hi, buddy!" I laugh, petting him and giving him kisses. "How are you tonight?" I ask in a baby voice. "Ok, I'm going in now, I'm tired" I say, giving him one last hug and kiss.

~The next morning~

I've decided to talk to Rob about my parents. He said he knew them, I'd like to know more about them and about him.

"Hey, thanks for meeting me again" I say and open the door for him to come in. "Not a problem" "So, I was just wondering if you could give me some information about my parents maybe?" "I figured that's what this was about" I give him a small smile.

"What do you want to know first?" He asks. "What were they like?" "A lot like you, I may not know you well yet hopefully, but I knew them and I can tell how much alike you are... especially to you mom" "I knew it" His eyebrows furrow.

"I feel like I can always feel her, but I don't really feel my dad" "She's with you, helping you, always, your mom never leaves your side, she makes herself known when she wants to"

"How do you know all this?" "Because I can talk to her" "What?" "She's sitting next to you" My eyes widen and tears start to gather in my eyes.

"Tell her I miss her so much" "She says she misses you too and she loves you so much" I start crying, sobbing actually. "She says she'll always protect you, and she's always here for you" "I-I can't do this anymore I'm sorry" I say running to the bathroom.

"Ava? You ok?" Rob asks through the doorway. "No I'm not ok! How do I even know your telling me the truth?" I ask, opening the door. I had to force myself to calm down before I vamped out on him, when he didn't respond, I have to do everything I can to keep my secret... well, a secret.

"You wouldn't have invited me here if you thought I wasn't trustworthy. We both know that" Tears fill my eyes.

"Why? Why'd she leave me?" 'Tell her that it was for her own protection, if I could go back in time, I would still do it, but I'd find a way to contact her more' "She said it was for your own protection, she wouldn't change her decision if she could go back in time, but she'd find a way to contact you before she passed" 'Tell her I want her to stop being so stubborn, and to let people in more' "She wants you to stop being so stubborn and let people in more" Tears start streaming as I sob, and fall into Rob's arms.

He hugs me back; one hand on my back, the other running his hand through my hair.
