CHAPTER 7

I did not realize when I fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of someone’s snores very close to my ear. I looked besides me and saw Josh sound asleep with his head lying on my shoulder. I did not expect to be affected by his touch. I was however surprised when I felt tingles where his body made contact with mine. This scared me shitless because I was afraid to even think that he affected me.

I wanted to wake him up but decided against it. After all it would not be a crime having him sleep at my house. I looked at the TV and the movie had ended so I switched it off. I then lifted his head slowly off my shoulder and laid it on the pillow that I had been sitting on earlier. I then covered him with a blanket and headed to my room. I got under the covers and slept pretty much like a log. I guess I didn’t know how tired I was from my day out with Brad.

When I woke up, I did my morning routine of freshening up. I headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. I know it was a bit too early in the morning but Brad was an early bad, so I had to ensure I cooked breakfast before he woke up. While heading to the kitchen, I found Josh still sleeping in the same position I left him last night. I took this chance to analyze his handsome face. He looked like a Greek god. ‘What I’m I saying’ I slapped my hand on my forehead. My subconscious found him as handsome. He slept with him mouth slightly open and drooled a little.

I debated on whether to wake him up before Brad gets up or have some fun. You know maybe this was the only opportunity I would ever get to be close to him. I decided the latter; after all I was a risk taker. I tapped my chin as I thought of a fun way to wake him up. I remembered I feather I had in my study. I got it and leaned down almost touching his face to mine. I could hear his steady breath brushing across my face. I traced the feather along his face and waited to see his reaction. His mouth tilted up a bit showing a small smile. The freckles at the corner of his mouth appeared making me blush. I pushed my dirty thoughts at the end of my mind and continued with my mission. I continued tracing his face with a smile of my own whenever he swatted the feather away. I traced his toned arms which were lying on his sides all the way up to his neck and ears. What I didn’t expect was to get the reaction that I got.

JOSH POV

I woke up to something or rather someone tracing something on my face and arms. My mind was a bit fuzzy since I just woke up but I knew by heart who it was. I at first thought it was Brad but the scent of her body gave it away. I knew Kira was the culprit. I decided to have as much fun as she was having. I pretended to be asleep and smiled a little due to the tickling of whatever she was using to trace my face. I could feel her big green eyes analyzing the features of my face and wondered what she thought about it. Not to be egoistic but I knew I was handsome since girls fell at my toe begging for my attention back from middle school.

As Kira continued to trace my face and arms, I decided to surprise her with a different reaction than what she was expecting. I sighed in satisfaction as if enjoying the tickling and moaned. I felt the tracing stop and slowly opened my blue sleepy eyes. I looked up at Kira’s face and was a bit startled with the close proximity. I rubbed my eyes and opened them again expecting to find her moved but it was like she was frozen in place. Her face was as red as a tomato and her mouth hang open. I lifted my hand and placed it on her face which seemed to bring her out of her faze. She moved back and her face only got redder if that was even possible. I released a deep throaty chuckle making my shoulders shake.

She covered her face with her hand from the embarrassment which made me laugh more. I got up from the position I was in and held her hands pulling them away from her face. I then moved closer and placed my hand under her chin and lifted her face up. I looked into her deep big green eyes which always seemed to hypnotize me. I then tackled her to the floor and started tickling her. Her laughter was the only sound that filled the house. Seeing her that happy made my heart have some kind of satisfaction.

I know I was one of the people who caused her the most pain in her life and I was sorry for that. I always liked her back in high school but my ego was too big to let me ask her out. She had been the only girl that would make my heart race whenever I saw her. However my stupid young self, made stupid decisions that ended up hurting the only person I cared about. I was the most popular guy in school and was always hanging out with the popular people at school. I did not want to bring Kira into the group because of the kind of people they were. They would never have accepted her and I would be forced to stop being popular, which did not seem like an option back then. Kira was so naïve and innocent to be introduced to a world like mine. I know it was not my decision to make but I did it anyways.
