CHAPTER 15
“Mr. Anderson…..Josh uhm hello? Dude what has got you in so much deep thoughts?” I heard my driver and personal bodyguard Sean ask.
I looked down at my watch and realized just how late it was. I had been thinking about the past for more than an hour. I didn’t even remember when my personal assistant left. All I remember was her telling me that she was done for the day. I realized that since I had met Kira recently, all I could think about was her. I could not seem to get her out of my mind which was not a good thing. This was bad. This was really bad because I knew my feelings for her were growing stronger. This was not going to end well because I believed that from what had happened in the past, she would be a fool to fall in love with me.
“Dude you’ve been spacing out a lot nowadays what is happening to you. What’s on your mind?” Sean asks with a worried expression on his face.

KIRA’S POV I was sitting in my office preparing myself for a meeting with one of my clients. I’ve got to admit being a CEO and having so many people depending on every decision you make was tiresome and stressful. Yeah you heard right, I am the CEO of House of Alexa. After high school I had highest GPA from the school and therefore I earned myself a full ride scholarship to Michigan States University where I studied business management. My college time was much easier and I made a few friends. There was this one guy who forced himself in my life despite me trying to push him away. Jake has a very demanding job and barely has time to spend with his wife and therefore he uses every opportunity he gets. We take the elevator and head towards the top floor to my penthouse.I take Brandon to his room and we unpack the few belongings that we brought and the head downstairs.“What do you want us to do right now,” I ask Brandon“Can we order pepperoni pizza,” he says“Okay, but what do you want us to do before the pizza arrive?” I ask.“Can we play some video games,” I hear Brandon ask from besides me.“Alright, let’s get down to business little man,” I tell him and he heads to the game room.We spend quite some time playing some video games and we only stop when there is a ringing at the door. I headed towards the bathroom and soon after headed downstairs. I found Brandon eagerly waiting in the kitchen to help me make breakfast. I opened the cupboard and got all the ingredients for pancakes and went ahead to mix them together. I allowed Brandon to help me in pouring the mixture in the pan. Soon after, we were done with breakfast and I poured honey on top of mine while Brandon poured strawberries.After breakfast was done, we decided to sit in the living room and watch a movie then head out shopping. After the movie, I bathed Brandon then dressed him and allowed him to play with some of the toys in his room while I got ready.It did not take me long to get ready and we headed to the mall for shopping. We headed into my car and drove to the mall. I did not realize when I fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of someone’s snores very close to my ear. I looked besides me and saw Josh sound asleep with his head lying on my shoulder. I did not expect to be affected by his touch. I was however surprised when I felt tingles where his body made contact with mine. This scared me shitless because I was afraid to even think that he affected me.I wanted to wake him up but decided against it. After all it would not be a crime having him sleep at my house.
