His strange habit did not frighten Cassandra, rather she felt protected and safe. Her father's murderer was still on the run and not knowing who the real culprit was only made it harder and her safety uncertain. She was happy to have a man like Carlson looking out for her at all times. As they settled everything, Carlson led his woman to the car while Tessa and Alex got in another. The ride back home was a qucik one.

‘’Have you thought of what you want to do with the properties left behind and the companies?’’ Carlson asked as he drove into the yard. The guards were all stationed ready to welcome them. Cassandra could feel the familiarity with his questions. He had asked her the same question in her previous life. She wanted nothing to do with all left behind, she was mad, she held a grudge against her deceased father for not supporting her, and had cut off everyone who reminded her of him. Now she was ready to walk another path, she had more closure than she had ever had in her year
