He didn’t come back for days. Instead he just sent his sister Elyse to bring me breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, and each time I didn’t even dare look her in the eye, let alone speak.

Even if she didn’t do anything bad to me -yet- I couldn’t help but think that they were nothing but savage, cold-hearted monsters.

Their flawless, superhuman looks were deceiving, but I knew what was hiding inside. Nothing but savage, cold-hearted animals.

I warily peered at Elyse’s retreating form from under the covers, waiting for her to close the door behind her before I sat up and climbed off the bed, waiting for a moment to listen closely to any other noises coming from beyond that door and once I have made myself sure it was safe enough I rushed to the tray of food sitting over the small round table as I felt so hungry and took it with me back to the bed, immediately starting to eat.

Even though it had firstly occured to my mind that I should just refuse their food as a form of protest,
