It was almost past midnight, when the party and all the rush to tidy it up were over. Dave carefully opened Angel's unlocked door. The room was dark and dim, but in the middle of the bed, under the dim moonlight coming in through the glass above the window, he could clearly see Angel's body lying face down on the bed.

Slowly, trying not to make a sound, Dave pulled up a chair and brought it closer to the edge of the bed. He sat there, with his body half bent, hands on his elbows and eyes staring intently at her.

With the help of the moonlight, Dave could see Angel's face slanted towards him and he could tell, there were dry, tear marks on her cheeks. Once again, Angel cried again until she fell asleep.

Dave's heart ached. At first, he thought that hurting Angel repeatedly, making her cry all the time until she was almost insane would satisfy his aching and vengeful heart. It would allow him to shake off the feeling of a gaping wound when he looked at Daisy's pit
