Chapter Fifty-Three (Sin)

“We need to get back to the castle. I don’t want to leave Hellebore up to her tricks for too long. How fast can you pack?” Sin asked Magma.

He left the room and came back with a backpack. “Packed.” He smiled.

We climbed back into the boat, and Magnus and Sin rowed us across. After getting out, we headed to the nightmares.

“We are short a nightmare.” Sin frowned.

“Magnus can ride with me.” Abigail smiled and winked at him.

Magnus chuckled, “Thank you.”

We mounted and headed back to the castle. Amaya rode beside me while Abagail and Magma trailed slowly behind, lost in conversation.

“Those two seem to have hit it off.” Amaya laughed.

“So, it would seem.” I chuckled.

Amaya was lost in thought and looked puzzled.

“What’s wrong, my little flame?”

Her cheeks turned red as she asked, “Would his hair burn her?”

I laughed, “I honestly have no idea.”
