Chapter 6

       

    As Prince Alex left the two in the hallways, second Prince Andrew looks at Natalie with a worried look in his eyes. He then grabs her hands in process.

"Are you sure you're fine with that? Being a maid I mean" he ask Natalie. The prince was uncertain but somehow he doesn't want Natalie to become his brother's maid.

"I will be alright, don't worry your Highness" Natalie looked at the second prince and gave him a smile as she gently takes off her hands away. “I’ll be in good hands for sure.” She added and smiles genuinely at the second Prince. She knew she'll be alright under Prince Alex's care as she knows all about him. She was the one who created his character and the other characters anyways she thought. Natalie also thought she’ll also have an advantage if she gets the favor of the first Prince as she knew the Prince will be the next king of Wales and it will help her to survive the place and she could also find and think of a way for her to get back into her reality where her family and friends are waiting.

            Prince Andrew watches Natalie and lets out a sigh as he decides to let her do what she wants. He gives her a smile.

“Alight” Prince Andrew held Natalie’s hand again and added “If you need help or something, just look for me and I will do my best to help you” he said as he lets go of her hand. Natalie nods at the second Prince as he then took his leave. Natalie took this a cue as well and goes back to her room to take a rest. As she enters back the room, the head maid was already there, maid uniform on her hand. She was waiting for Natalie as she is assign to assist her with her duties and responsibilities. She was looking at her with a stern look on her face.

'So much for resting for today' she thought with a sigh as the head maid speaks, snapping out Natalie from her thoughts. 

"Prince Alex already told me that you will be his personal maid. You'll be starting tomorrow but I figured that you must know every corner of the palace also the important rules that all the palace personnel must follow" the head maid said as she handled Natalie her uniform.

"Change your clothes already, I'll wait for you outside" she said before leaving Natalie in her chambers and waits for her outside.

Natalie looks at the maid uniform and makes a face as it was too revealing for her taste. She doesn't have a choice though as she sigh and take of her clothes and change into it and goes out of the room where the head maid was waiting across the room, arms crossed.

"Let’s go" she said as she starts walking away, Natalie following behind her, looking around and familiarizing the place along the way. The head maid starts to tour her all around the castle, from the hallways to the different rooms around. Natalie listens and starts to memorize every room that the head maid mentioned. The head maid continues and she starts to tell the ground rules inside the palace along the way.

"And lastly you must always attend to all that the first prince requested" she said as she said as they stopped inside the royal kitchen. The head maid turns around at Natalie and her stern look disappeared and gets replaced by a friendly smile. Natalie smiles back at her as the head maid told her that she can start her job tomorrow and go explore the palace for today. Natalie obliged and starts explore the palace on her own.

"Your Highness"

Prince Alex stopped reading and puts down the book he was reading and looks towards his door. A slender figure enters his room and walks towards him.

"Ann"

The Prince looks at the woman. Ann Meyer is his betrothed and the future queen of Wales. Their marriage was arranged by the Prince's father, the current king and by the maiden’s father, Baron Mayer as they were good friends. The two were also considered as childhood sweethearts as the both of them were attracted to each other since they were kids. Prince Alex were Ann's knight and shining armor and Ann's was the First Prince's precious treasure. Her smile faded as she noticed that the Prince has a bored look on his face as if waiting for someone but someone wasn’t her. Noticing it, the first Prince quickly gives Ann a smile.

“What brings you here?” he asked her as she sits across him.

“There have been rumors that circling around the palace grounds that you saved some foreign woman and you also make her your personal maid.” Ann said as she crosses her arms and shows him a displeased expression. Prince Alex’ eyes twitches as for the first time he gets irritated with the woman in front of him. He knows that Ann can be clingy most of the time and he can tolerate it but somehow it irks him right now.

“Yeah I did.” the Prince said as he picks up the book and continues to read once more.

 “What about it?”

“What about it? Saving a foreign was not like you at all” Ann said and added “And also a woman? This isn’t really like you” she rambled at him as the first prince lets her until she got tired. Seeing that the prince let her, Ann stopped and stood up from her seat. She felt that the Prince doesn’t care at all at.

“I’ll just take my leave.”  she turns around and walks away, hoping that the Prince will chase her up and apologized for acting like he doesn’t care at her at all. That didn’t happen though as Prince Alex just continue reading his book and takes a sip on his Earl grey. This makes Ann angry and decided to go and checked out the First Prince’s new maid as she suspected that the First Prince’s sudden change of behavior towards her was because of the new maid.

Natalie continues to explore the palace aimlessly as she reaches the hallways where the Royals room were located. She looks around astounded as she never expected that the palace would be like this beautiful as she didn’t really elaborate it in her novels. She focused her story on the Prince’s and Ann’s romance. As she continues to walk, she didn’t notice the woman who were not minding her surroundings as well and they bumped into each other, falling on the floor.

“Watch were you going!” the woman screamed as Natalie look up and saw Ann, standing up and looks at her with a irritated look on her face.
