Her eyes opened slowly after being administered some medications by the doctor. I held her hand tight as she stirred on the bed.

“Sydney, you are finally awake,” I said to her.

She turned to look at my face then she pulled her hand from mine. “ Why did you come to save me?” She asked.

That was a weird question. I was expecting her to be happy and grateful that I rescued her but instead, she was angry at me.
