I try to take a deep breath but something heavy’s on my chest. I open my eyes and wince at the stream of light poking through the curtain from the never sleeping city. God my head hurts. This, this is why I stopped drinking. But looking down at a sleeping Jared, the throbbing dulls. He is so gorgeous when he sleeps. He snores like a sailer though.

I run my hand gently through his silky hair. He moans lightly and scrunches his nose before his pretty green eyes sparkle as they stare into mine.

“Morning.” I say softly.

“Morning.” His voice is rough and god help me how it turns me on. “What time is it?”

I look over at the clock on the wall. “5:45”

“In the morning?” He whines.

“Then go back to sleep.” I start playing with his hair again.

“We need to talk.” He snuggles back into me though.
