Today has been a long, hard day. I’m ready to draw a long bubble bath and eat pad Thai and Spring rolls while watching Big Bang reruns after Alessio collects his order.

I climb out my car and start unlocking the front door.

I feel a body pressed against mine and something cool against my throat.

“Hold still.” A deep manic voice sounds in my ear. “I just want the cocaine and no one gets hurt.”

I close my eyes and take a breath, thinking of how to get myself out of this situation. He’s positioned himself so I can’t go for the crotch and he’s too tall for me to head butt into his nose.

He angles the knife so it pierced my skin and I let out a muffled groan.

“Open the door.” He hisses, spit splattering my cheek.

I slowly turn the key in the lock and then pause.

Hurry up Les, please.

He moves the knife further into my skin
