                  CHAPTER 5(DINNER DATE)

Dusk seemed to have overcome the overwhelming light of the sun as it was 8pm already.The atmosphere seemed to have been in favour of Henry as nature blessed the atmosphere with it's cool breeze,and some calmness.Just like Henry who keeps to time,Jane was already prepared for her dinner date with Henry and Henry on the other hand, was outside waiting for her in his car.

Moments later,Jane came out from her house dazzling in the hot red dinner gown she wore,her flowing black hair and a light makeup of a red lipstick,eyeshadow, neatly drawn eye brows and eyeliner .Her beauty left Henry astonished and speechless at the same time as he had to come out of his car to get a better view of her.

"Wow!"He exclaimed silently.

Jane smiled at him which sort of brought him back to his senses.

"You look stunning"he complimented.

"Well thank you".

He then opened the car door for her and ushered her in and closed the door.He rushed to be in the driver's seat as well.He drove off whilst staring at her admiringly.

They got to a very exquisite exotic lounge.Jane seemed to have been surprised at the environment as she was baffled that she never knew such place existed in the first place.They were welcomed by the soft love music playing from the inside of the building.The environment was cool and free from distractions,cars packed around and securities at the gate.

"I am so surprised.Never knew a place like this existed".she said excitedly.

"A guy always knows his way around.This is one of the places I come to relax after the day's stress".

"I like it".

"So shall we?"he offered whilst bringing out his hand.

"Ofcourse"she accepted giving him a smile.

They walked inside the building with Henry leading the way.He seemed to have booked a table beforehand for the date.He went further to adjust a seat for her and she sat down

"Thank you"she said gratefully

Then he sat down.Just when he sat down was a waiter that came to take their orders holding 3 books and a pen which consisted of 2 menu books and an order book.The waiter who was a male greeted them and gave a menu book to Jane and another menu book to Henry,the order book still remaining in his hand.

Jane went through the menu and unknown to her Henry was staring at her instead of going through his menu book.She without noticing the stare picked her choice.

"I want fried rice and fried chicken"she said while handing him his menu book.

"What about you sir?the waiter asked.

"I want what she wants"he said while still staring at her.

"And a bottle of champagne please"he completed.

"Okay sir"the waiter said while writing down their orders.

He took the menu books and left to get their orders.

"How long have you been staring at me Mr Henry?"convinced that he had been staring at her.

"Since we got here I suppose.You are very beautiful.From your flowing hair,to your eyes,to your red lips.You look absolutely beautiful"he complimented.

"Thank you"she buried her face down blushing.

"You really have your way with words I must say"she said looking directly into his face.

"They are genuine and true"he replied.

They kept throwing glances and laughing at themselves until the waiter guy came back with their orders.He served them and left immediately.

They began to eat but midway Henry stopped eating and was looking at her.He seemed to have been overtaken by the burden in his heart that he wanted so badly to pour his heart out through words.It wasn't hard for him to do so he let it out anyway.

"I really like you Jane"he said.

Jane who was eating and unaware of his stare,dropped her cutlery gently and raised her face staring at his face.She didn't say any word but stare.She seemed to have felt the same way but words ran out of her brain as she sat there speechless.

"I won't lie to you.I feel a certain way when I am with you,when I look at you and when I hear your voice.I know it hasn't been so long we met and this may not be the right time for me to say this,but what I am saying is real and true".he continued.

"I am in love with you Jane.I am so in love with you.I don't wanna force words into your mouth.I just want to let you know, then you can decide if..."he was about to finish when Jane cut in.

"I like you too.You don't have to say anything cos I feel the way you feel.I am not the type of girl that has to wait a century before I know what I feel.We are on the same page Henry"She said while holding his hands.

"Now let's eat cos I like food alot"she said jokingly while Henry laughed.

So they continued eating.

"So tell me more about yourself"she inquired.

"My name is Henry Wilberforce,I am from this city.I studied petroleum engineering at Harvard and now I manage one of my father's companies.I have one sibling,a guy,his name is Fred but he ain't in the country right now and I am a good guy"he said even though joking at the last part.

Jane laughed her hearts out.Henry seemed like the type of guy that had a sense of humor,her type of guy.

"You are a good guy"she mimicked him while laughing.

"I have never heard anything like that before.You are hilarious honestly and I like that".She said.

"What more can I say?.I just made you laugh.Cant you see that my words are..."he was about to finish before she interrupted him.

"Real and true"she completed.

"Wow!.I give up"he continued eating his food.

"So tell me about you"I am Jane Williams,i am from this city as well.I studied Estate management at Brantford.I got a sister and I work at Infinity".

"Lest I forget,how are you related to Infinity.Do you work there also?"she continued.

"Not really...well,your boss is my very good friend and I happen to be one of the shareholders in the company".he explained.

"Wow that's huge.You are a set guy"she complimented.

"Set guy?.That's a first"confused at what she meant.

"Oh!it means that you are rich and comfortable.To be a shareholder at Infinity is everything.That's a lot you know".

"Yeah I get it now.I like the word.Set guy...set guy...set guy..."he repeated continually.

"Common stop.Anyways,how come you are a shareholder at Infinity whearance you studied petroleum engineering.Infinity is a company that deals with buying of houses,properties and estate management.What has that got to do with engineering?"she asked.

"Sweetheart,you don't have to be an engineer before you become a shareholder at a company.Just gain knowledge on what you want to embark on,invest and gain,invest and lose as well.Thats how it goes".

"Wow never knew".she was surprised.

"Any more questions my lady?"he said finishing off with his food.

"No...set guy"she joked.

Henry signalled the waiter guy to come and in no minute,he came placing a book in front of Henry.Henry looked at the bill and brought out his wallet and brought out some cash from it.He didn't count the money but from it's volume it was a huge sum.

"Keep the change"he said.

The waiter was excited because the tip Henry left him hasn't been awarded him before.

"Thank you sir"he bowed slightly.

They both stood up from the table as he held her hand and walked away.
