Chapter 6
Morning came and Anita woke up early then got out of the cave. She took the time to look around and saw that the place is not that bad. It was late when they got here and she was tired. She never got the chance to look around and see what kind of place it was. This was their new home after all and she needed to know everything there is to know about it. She cleaned a bit after taking a tour of the place, she then got back to the cave where her mother was and found her still sleeping.
‘Well, Linsey, take us to where we can find food, my mother will wake up soon.’ She told her wolf and she shifted to her wolf form. ‘What would you like to eat, Rabbit?’ she asked ‘No, we can get that for lunch on our way back, let’s find something light.’

A month has passed since Anita and her mother started living the life of rogues. Life for them has been challenging, to say the least, Anita has been the one to go out and hunt or fish in order for them to eat. She even found leaves they could eat in the forest, she knew now what they could and could not eat. That day she took him back to the cave, she cleaned his wounds which had started healing because of his wolf’s ability to heal injuries, however, it was not healing as fast as a normal wound would because this one was deep.After cleaning his wound, she used one of the leaves from the trees around and made a paste with it applying it to his wound then covered it with another leaf. When Nathan got to his pack lands then shifted behind the trees and walked to the packhouse, he could feel the heaviness in his pack, werewolves walked around with their heads hanging low, they did not even notice him as he passed. After Nathan finished talking to his father, he went to the office and spoke to his beta Divan. He told him everything that happened, Divan was still quiet after listening to everything his alpha and friend told him. There was one thing on his mind, that he is alone now, the only one who has not found his mate. “So, you found your mate and she is a rogue.” Stated Divan.“Yes, I found her, look man I know that we have been waiting for our mates for so long and if I have found mine then it is only a matter of time before you find yours.” Nathan tried to comfort his friend, even though he knew that whatever he says will not be enough and he knew the feeling of watching others find their mates while you can’t find yours.

While Nathan was still seating there thinking of ways to get through to Anita, he caught the scent of rogues, which brought him back to his senses, this was not his pack lands, this is rogue territory. He stood up irritated, he had no time to be fighting with rogues, he had bigger issues to deal with. He took his fighting stance none the less.The two rogues could smell that he was not one of them, he was a pack wolf and it looked like he was alone. They bared their canines and growl at him.
