The entire event was filled with laughter and joy as the elderly couples began to dance in the middle of the stage, accompanied by the beautiful melodies of the violin and piano. Each sway felt like a soothing lullaby to peace.

"Let me see the ring..." Laura gasped, looking at my hand in awe. "It's absolutely gorgeous. Richie, take a look!"

"I'm pretty sure it's worth three times the engagement ring I bought for your sister," Richie told me, earning a playful slap from Laura.

"But you still love me, right?" He said uncertainly, wincing as he waited for her response.

"Where's Nathaniel? Did you give him to Mom again?" Laura demanded, placing her hand on her hip.
