"And did I ever mention, your head will fly somewhere if you see Tasha while working," Aaron was talking way too loudly inside my head that I wanted to feed him his own fist. "Your job is right here, in front of you, not over there with her."

"Can you stop talking for a minute? You're distracting me," I chided him, crossing my arms as I looked at the blueprint the engineer showed us.

"Distracting you from being distracted?" He looked over at Natasha, who was currently talking to some of the farmers on the plantation. "Yeah, right."

When she told me that she wouldn't talk to me the whole day, I should have believed her. I'd rather joke around when she just woke up, not when she's pregnant.

"She's too pretty. And that means you won't be able to focus on your job."

"I am focusing," I defended myself.
