A Shocking Morning
Pearl Ashton threw her phone across the bedroom. It missed her twin sister's head by millimetres before shattering against the wall, waking Ruby up.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Ruby screamed, pulling her sleep mask from her eyes. "You could have hit me with that you stupid bitch! I can't afford bruises. I have the Chloe show to do next week."
Pearl flung her long blond hair back over her shoulder, pouting so hard, her bottom lip was sticking right out.
"You know better than that, Pearl. Pulling faces gives you ugly wrinkles. What's got your knickers in a knot anyway?"
"Nick and Gabriel are refusing to take us to the premiere tonight. They say they already have a date."
"What?" Ruby gritted her teeth, and her shoulders were rigid. "How dare they ruin our plans! Gabriel is mine! We haven't seen them since that dreadful dinner. " Ruby's eyes began to water. "I ... I love him.

Millie went back into the kitchen; she could get out into the back garden from the French windows by the breakfast table.
