Abrar
She abruptly rubbed her cheeks and eyes when I was staring at her. The kohl spread all over her face now. However, this girl could never look creepy. Even with so many black spots on her skin, she was glowing. Her nose turned completely red like a crying kid. I couldn't drive my eyes away from her face that I could see in the moonlight.
The window was opened in front of us. I could sense the cool breeze like that day on the terrace. But today something was different. She was crying today.
"What happened?", I asked in a low tone when she wiped her face with the edge of her white stole.
"Why did you get inside? I told you, right? Do you have any importance of my consent?", she grumbled, gritting her teeth as I chuckled.
"You know that well. That's why you are here, staying with me. Didn't you say that you feel safe at my place?"
She glared at me as she had nothing reply after this. "And I was calling you repeatedly. You were crying. I ha
AbrarI held her arms tightly and made her stand up. She looked a bit unprepared as if she was still in shock for breaking down in front of me which she didn't want to."I think", she gulped, looking down. "You need a shower first since you're tired. I'll do it later. There's only one washroom so""But you're looking pale. You need it", I replied."I'm fine. Please you go. I'll collect my clothes till then", she said and I didn't feel like arguing. At least, she had obeyed me a bit."Okay", I mumbled but she kept staring at me. I rolled my eyes."Abrar, leave my arm", she said in a firm tone as I realized it and immediately left her hand."I'm sorry", stammering, I took my steps back and came out of her room.*As I came out of the washroom after a cold shower, I found her in the kitchen."Zoya!", I called aloud as she looked back, tilting her head. "I'm done. You can come now""I'm warming up food for you. W
AbrarI was out of words while looking at the pack of pills. It was unexpected for me."You said you have a headache", she said but my voice was gone. I couldn't say anything and just stared at her.She said nothing after that and walked to the table, poured a glass of water, then came back to me, taking out a pill."Have it", she proceeded her both hands with water and pain killer. "Don't worry. It's pain killer. I won't poison you""Huh? No! I mean— I know", I mumbled, immediately taking them from her hands.I took the pain killer and she received the glass from me."Do you need a massage? I have balm too", she approached. Her sudden concern surprised me. Was she trying to pay back for what I did?"No. I'll feel better with this. Thanks for the concern", I said."Okay. You can wake me up if you need a massage""Sure", I shook my head.Turning on her knees, she walked to the door. And the next moment
AbrarI threw my exhausted body on the couch, closing my eyes for a while. I felt temporary cramps all over my body like every day. It used to vanish after a cold shower. However, I didn't feel like taking a shower either. My eyelids opened wide after a few minutes and I stared at the ceiling."Relax, Abrar. It was a silly lie and there's nothing to overreact to", I told myself but I didn't know why that lie affected me."But she could have told me. I'm not doing anything against her, no? Why can't she just tell me?""Why would she? She has some privacy""I wouldn't ask her where she was. She could just tell me that she wasn't at home. That was it""Whatever. Still, you don't have a right to question her. You don't need to worry about it either. Just remember that this relationship is fake. Admit it. And just shut your damn brain"I was fighting with my own thoughts again and finally decided to put an end to it. Stretching my a
Abrar "You're shopping a lot nowadays", I said when Zoya came inside. She got nervous like yesterday. "And you're coming back home early nowadays" "Aren't you happy that I'm coming back early?" "Y—yes. I mean No. I mean why would I care? It's your home. You can come and go whenever you want", she mumbled, keeping her purse aside. She walked inside her room immediately without making eye contact with me. What the hell was happening? Her recent actions were pissing me off. Yeah, I had no right over her decisions but she was the one to bound me with her life. She was an unpredictable girl and I was nervous about myself too. I came home early today also and I didn't find her again. I called her and she again lied to me that she was at home. What nonsense! What was the need of lying repeatedly? It meant she was doing something damn serious thing which could affect my life too. Things had been too much complicated. So as the
AbrarI wasn't ready to hear what she just said. Zoya was working? For what? She was already rich enough. She would be the owner of her father's company soon. And even if she was working somewhere, why didn't she tell me? It was nothing to hide about.I looked at Zoya. Her nervous eyes lingered on me and again dropped. Wasn't she being unreasonable? Definitely, she was. It pissed me off more."Anyway, let me know how it is", Mrs. Sharma passed us a smile and walked out of the apartment, slamming the door. There was only silence between us for a few second. She didn't speak much, nor I did. I didn't know what to say. Should I ask her? But she'd backfire at me. However, I could ask since she hid that from me."Abrar, listen", she immediately turned towards me with her shimmering eyes."What? You were shopping? Seriously? I don't think it was necessary to lie. It was unreasonable, Zoya", I couldn't stop myself from lashing out at her. She got n
AbrarKaif reached my apartment an hour later. I was sitting on the couch, already drank a whole jug of water. My throat was still drying up in tension."Abrar! What's wrong? Zoya is missing?", he immediately went on his knees before me when I had hung my head."Yeah", I murmured."Where was she?", he panicked while asking and panting heavily as if he had run the whole way from downstairs."I don't know", I said in a numb tone."What? She didn't tell you?""No"He paused for a while."Did you call her parents?", he asked."I did. She's not there either", my gaze was iced on the ground and I was answering him in a frozen voice."Where can she go? Any idea?", he kept questioning. However, I kept nodding."No""Do you have any number of her friends? You may know them. Anyone""No", I spoke."What the hell? Abrar!", he roared aloud this time in frustration. "Why are you repeating the
AbrarMy eyes settled on her from head to toe. I was silently observing if she was fine. Because I just couldn't go and panic to see how she was, nor I could rush and hug her tightly though I badly wanted to.She looked at me and then at Kaif in shock."Zoya, are you okay?", Kaif asked. Just a few minutes ago, he was asking me to go and sleep but I knew he got tensed too. I couldn't utter a single word and kept staring at her."Yes, what would happen to me?", she rolled her eyes as if nothing happened and everything was normal. It pissed me off. I couldn't hold it anymore. My eyes burnt and nerves shook as I clenched my jaw to control. However, it wasn't easy to control when she was acting like everything was fine."What the hell, Zoya?", my voice boomed around the tiny apartment and it echoed like never before. I had never heard my voice roaring like that way.She quivered a bit, widening her eyes and taking a step back."Abra
AbrarShe didn't speak and kept gazing at me. That might be the end of our conversation. I didn't know if there was anything left to say after that.Holding the papers, I pulled out the pen from my pocket, and without making a delay, I signed it and slammed it on the table. There was a long silence between us. I was waiting for her to finish if she wanted to say something else."Abrar!", Kaif spoke after a long time. "I'm going. Let me know if you need something""Thanks", I came out of my senses as he walked out of my apartment.I glanced at Zoya for once and turned to my room."Why did you call him over here?", her voice stopped me as I turned around and looked straight into her eyes. She crossed her arms, raising her eyebrows."Now, you have a problem with my friend too?", I grumbled and hoped she didn't make an issue of it too. "I can do anything I want, right? You shouldn't have a proble
