The moment seemed to be stopped there as I bumped into my past. In just a second, everything I had with her years ago flashed before my eyes. She was startled too. I was looking for words, what to say, what to do, how to react. She dropped her gaze immediately and took all the documents from my hands as I came back to reality.

I couldn't dare to look at her again. However, I remembered how Zoya used to make things easier for me. If I was the same man with awful emotions like six months back, I could never be able to face my past. But I thought now I could.

Standing up properly, I looked at Nikhat again. She had changed a lot. We never met in the last two years. Her dressing style completely changed, she had become chubbier than before. Maybe, the marital change! Nonetheless, the only change which made me anxious was her body language. She looked timid and nervous. I frowned at her.
