Chapter 6

When the man in black heard that, he understood immediately. He grabbed Mitchell's hand and then pulled hard.

As the clear crack of his bones rang out in the air, Mitchell's arm was broken.

Mitchell was in so much pain that he lay on the floor, rolling around with all his might.

Everything had happened too suddenly. When Marianne came to her senses, Mitchell was already severely injured.

Marianne walked up to Mitchell, sobbing with empathy as she shouted at the man angrily, "Who the hell are you? I swear I won't let you off the hook!"

The man's voice was void of emotion. "My name is William Quinta. If you want to avenge your son in the future, feel free to do it.

"Ms. Danbury wants me to kill his damned life, but I've only broken his arm so far." As the man in black spoke, he put on a cruel smile. He was about to attack Mitchell again.

When Marianne heard William's words, she flew into a rage. She was about to shout at him, but Mitchell had already gone pale in the face behind her.

According to the rumors, 20 years ago, a man had slashed his way out of an attack from 20 men at once. It happened on the west side of the city, and the man was equipped with only a scimitar. People called him Quinta.

He was truly a tough guy who had faced huge battles!

A minor hooligan like Mitchell couldn't even be compared to him.

Also, Mitchell knew that a cruel man like him would dare to kill for real!

If the beautiful woman was capable of ordering William around, Mitchell could guess that she was a prominent figure with a noble identity.

Recalling his words just now, Mitchell wished that he could just slap himself across the face.

But now that things had come to this point, he had to secure his life first!

In his terror, he knelt on the ground and began to beg. "Mr. Quinta, I'm so sorry. I should have known better. Please have mercy on me!"

Raising an eyebrow, William glanced at Mitchell. Then, he said in a cold voice, "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to."

Mitchell knelt again in front of Vivianne. He kept bowing as he said, "Miss, please spare my humble life."

Vivianne had come on official business, so she didn't want to bother with a minor figure like Mitchell. She said in annoyance, "Get lost!"

Mitchell finally felt like he was pardoned. He quietly left with Marianne.

As Frederick watched the events play out, he didn't stop anyone at all. Instead, he was quite curious about Vivianne's identity.

Frederick had just moved into this villa, so if Vivianne could find him here, she must have done a background check on him.

At that moment, Vivianne was examining Frederick. Through Theodore's connections, she had already looked up all the information on Frederick.

Still, she couldn't help but feel shocked when she saw that the man, who was of her age, was none other than the Mr. York her father spoke of.

Vivianne walked up to Frederick. Then, she said indifferently, "Mr. York, I'd like you to come along and take a look at some patients."

Frederick hated being investigated, so when he heard Vivianne's tone, he declined her request immediately.

"I'm not interested. Please leave."

When Vivianne heard that, her pretty face turned red. If she hadn't asked William to enter the fray just now, Frederick would be beaten up by now.

But now, Frederick didn't even thank her. Instead, he even declined her request.

She was a stubborn young lady who was spoiled since she was young. Of course, she couldn't endure this humiliation.

"You … Do you know who I am?

"How dare you decline my request!"

Frederick simply shook his head lightly. "I don't know who you are, nor am I interested in finding out.

"I won't say the same thing thrice. Please leave!"

Vivianne was so mad that she stomped her feet. Many rich young men would always gather around her and try to please her.

Frederick was just a doctor. Who did he think he was?

Vivianne, who was in a bad mood by now, said to William, "Mr. Quinta, take him to the hospital."

William exercised his arms as he walked toward Frederick.

When Frederick saw William's movements, he narrowed his eyes. They probably had a death wish if they wanted to fight him!

The air about him instantly turned cold. Like a phantom, his figure appeared right before William!

Frederick's ghost-like speed caused William to shift his expression greatly. The cold air also made his whole body shiver.

William, who realized that he was facing a skilled fighter, pulled out the scimitar from behind him. It was the weapon he had never removed from its scabbard in the past decade!

Gripping it firmly, he now wielded it in a confrontational stance.

With tension thick in the air, an impending clash loomed on the horizon.
