Chapter Thirteen

NoNeverNow, where am I?

When I woke up, I was with Ronald. The way we're sleeping—holding each other in arms—makes my world come to a complete stop. My head was still in shock as I first tried to recall what had happened. The last time I heard it, I was in the kitchen and thought someone was in my house.

I initially believed I was hallucinating, but nobody was there. A blast occurred in my kitchen as soon as I entered my bedroom to conduct a search. I was shocked when I came out of bed and noticed flames in my kitchen. My veins were once again attacked by a shock that had been there all along. I have experienced suffering alone before. But when I see a hazy figure standing in front of me before everything goes black, it's something entirely different.

Another shock is already overwhelming me. The arms of Ronald encircle me. He is stroking me. Only he attempted to touch me. His arms are around me, and our bodies are in close proximity. I held my breath and looked for a searing sensation
