I’m Iris

Arthur's POV

I stepped out of my car, parked just outside the large, gated mansion. Rusev and Magmus, two of my loyal and most trusted bodyguards are right on my tail. They are the only ones I can trust to deliver on this mission. They stepped out of their car which was parked a few feet from mine and they walked up to me.

"Remember to burn every single thing down to the ground," I instructed. They nodded as they began to get the tools from the trunk of the car. I could feel the energy inside me, burning. I took a deep breath, allowing myself to take in the sight before me. I could feel my rage swell as I thought of what this place represented.

I looked at the Scott mansion; taking a long last look at it before it turned to ashes. Sebastian Scott murdered my parents in cold blood and he forced my sister and me to be orphans at a very early age. After so many years of searching for who had killed my parents, I found out it was Sabastian who had been hiding. That idiot sure knows how to hide for years but then, he was only learning. I have got him and now I am ready for revenge. I have been waiting for this day for a long time now.

I am here to kill him and his family. I won't let this slide especially when it comes to him. He had been hiding and closing this case whenever I found the clue but he never succeeded since I had found out myself. I would kill the motherfucker and his family. I will let them burn to ashes.

I walked up to the gates alongside my guards, looking around to make sure no one was watching. Though there was CCTV and the mansion was well secured but trust me, I am not new to this game. I know how to go about my way.

I reached out and gently opened the gate. We slipped inside, my heart racing, and we made our way up to the house. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I walked up the steps, my plan of revenge firmly in my mind.

Once we reached the door, I gave a signal to my guards and on cue, Rusev took out a small container of gasoline and began to spread it around the mansion. I was not satisfied. I needed to do this by myself so I can deal with this hatred and rage burning inside me. I collected the gasoline from Rusev and he looked at me in awe.

"Boss," he called, solemnly, "this was not part of the plan."

"I gave you the orders and I can change them at any time!" I barked.

I then began to scout out the mansion. I needed to find the best places to pour the gasoline and to place the combustible materials. I also needed to find any weak points in the structure so that I can ensure the fire will spread quickly. I was careful to avoid any security cameras or guards and to make sure that no one sees me.

I poured it on the door, around the windows, and spread it around the mansion. I then threw the can onto the roof. I could feel the flames start to burn inside me and I know that soon all of this will be gone. I took out a lighter and flick it. Immediately, the flames began to spread. I watched as the fire quickly engulfed the mansion. The fire was so hot that I could feel the heat from where I was standing.

I took a few steps back, watching in awe as my plan of revenge was being carried out. I watched as the flames spread, consuming everything in its path.

In a matter of minutes, the mansion will be nothing more than a pile of ashes and smoke. I can feel the satisfaction grow within me. I wish I could see Sebastian's face and I hope he burned alongside the fire. The fire was beautiful. I admired it for a while before I gave my guards a signal for us to leave.

The Scott family would never be able to recover from this. My revenge has been served and I am content. I have finally achieved justice and I am satisfied.

"Boss," Magmus called, distracting me from my thoughts, "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" I asked him.

"Someone is crying for help in there. I can hear the scream," Rusev replied.

I tried to listen carefully and when I heard it, I was irritated. Of course, they would cry for help but I'm not ready to pity any one of them but then again., if the house had been burnt to ashes then every one of them was meant to be dead by now, does that mean someone was saved?

"How is there a survivor?" I asked my guards. At this point, I was already going crazy. The screams and cries for help grew louder.

"Rusev, Magmus. Put off the fire and check for any survivors," I ordered them instantly.

Quickly, they brought in extinguishers and within a few minutes, the fire was already off.

They both scrambled into the mansion and I waited patiently till they got out. Yes, I was ready to wait to kill those who caused me pain so it wasn't much of anything.

Some moment, I heard my name being called and as I raised my head, I saw my men carrying a girl with them. She was alive, how?

"Boss, we found this girl inside and she was the only survivor," Magmus said as they helped the girl outside.

She was sobbing as Rusev and Magmus dropped her on the floor.

Rusev then gave me a shocking news, "She kept saying that her parents escaped."

"What?!" I cringed out in anger, taking some steps backward? "They did what?!"

"I have no idea, Boss," He told me.

I cleared my throat and looked at the girl crying in front. "Young lady, What happened?" I asked her.

"Please, sir, my family ran away but they left me and now I can no longer see," She continued crying.

"Who is your father?" I asked her with all authority. I could feel my rage and hatred coming back in a flash.

"Sebastian Scott," She answered, tears still flowing from her eyes.

"Oh yeah and you're his daughter!" I snapped and the poor girl nodded her head, I could see her shiver in fright. I was furious. How could Sabastian run away and leave his daughter? What was he plotting? There was something wrong. There is something I don't know.

"I don't know how the house got burnt but they left me, they ran away and left me behind after asking me to cook for them," the girl spoke up and my gaze landed on her.

What was she trying to say? "Is Sebastian not your father?"

She sniffled on her tears and used the back of her palm to clean her eyes, "He is," she replied.

Everything was not making sense to me any longer and I felt there was something more to all of this. "Magmus, round her and take her to the car," I commanded.

I looked at the frail-looking girl before me. Her eyes were wide open. Although she was just in a burning inferno for minutes, she still looked cute. She had ocean blue eyes and her hair had highlights of silver in her chestnut brown hair. But something seemed wrong, she was acting blind.

"Can't you see?" I regretted asking her that question because she broke down into heavy tears that almost got me off her feet. I turned to Magnus and arched my eyebrows at him. "What wrong with her?"

"She's blind," he answered and confirmed my curiosity. She is blind.

"What is your name?" I asked her but got no answer from her which I didn't take lightly. I hate being given silent treatment, it freaks me out. "What's your name!" I yelled.

I was sure my voice took a toll on her and she raised her innocent face at me looking all perplexed that I had yelled at her. What else was she expecting? I wanted her dead but she was here thinking I was good to her, never!

"I'm… Iris," she sputtered, her lips trembling from battling sobs.

"Iris, what an irony," I muttered to myself.

He should've made sure the one he actually wanted revenge on was in the house before setting it on fire
