CHAPTER 1

She threw a punch on the man's back, and as the man dodged her fist, she immediately followed up with her kick. The man wasn't fast enough to dodge her kick; thus, it landed on his side. He flew a few meters before his back slammed on the pillar of their training room. He groaned.

The woman who threw a punch at a man is named Cathy. She is an omega and the apple of her family's eye. She is also one of the most beloved people in their territory.

"Sian, I'm sorry." She worriedly said, "Does it hurt?" she added.

The man named Sian, a beta, groaned even more. He looked up and looked at his friend and his boss as well. "Boss, do you want me to die?" he asked, trying to suppress the pain.

Cathy winched. She didn't know what to do. It was supposed to be her and her brother's sparring, but because her brother couldn't bear to hurt her, they always found a way to decline her. In the end, either they send someone to be Cathy's sparring partner or Sian will be the unlucky person who will try to invade every attack from his friend.

As an omega, Cathy was indeed different from the rest. She has the characteristics of an omega, aside from one thing: she has a strong physique, which is common to those alphas. For the people in her family, she was the kind of omega who is born once every hundred years. There is only one person like her in the whole world. Or at least that is what the legend said.

That is also the reason they tried to make her strong and make her avoid people. Aside from the people in their territory, Cathy hasn't interacted with anyone else. She was forbidden to go to another territory.

"Sorry, I was just annoyed. It was supposed to be brother Shou, but he left and said that I should take you instead of him."

Cathy, despite being strong, was still innocent. Hearing this, Sian took a deep breath and cursed his friend, Cathy's brother, Shou. Sian does not know if he was born to fight alongside Shou or if he was born to be tossed around by Cathy, an omega. But, of course, he isn't embarrassed about it. Cathy was definitely strong.

"Shou, that son of a bitch—"

"Hey! Don't call my brother like that," Cathy said, pouting her lips.

When Sian saw her pity-looking eyes, he sighed. He couldn't even curse those bastards in front of the person who tossed and kicked him like a toy. It was hateful. However, he knows very well what kind of people these siblings are.

"Whatever. I don't want to fight you anymore," Sian told her.

Cathy's eyes widened. "You don't want to fight me anymore? You hate me already?" she asked, with teary eyes.

Sian was caught off guard. It was indeed expected for her to be like this, but it was too soon. "I'm sorry, Cathy. I wasn't on the same level as you before. You're getting better and better. I don't think I still have much help with your training," Sian told Cathy honestly.

Thinking about it, Cathy stared solemnly at Sian. She was looking for a way to see if he was lying to her. In the end, she still didn't. In fact, if she thought about it more, she could clearly distinguish the meaning behind Sian's words. She was indeed stronger than her friend, and it wasn't much of a challenge to her anymore.

Cathy sighed. "All right," she said

"Cathy?"

Both Cathy and Sian looked at the person who called the Omega. Both of them saw Shou, the person who ran away.

"Brother Shou," Cathy said joyfully, full of energy.

Sian winched. He didn't know if he was just too weak or if this omega in front of him just had a lot of energy stored in her petite body. Seeing her call her brother energetically, Sian could think about something. She was really stronger than him. He couldn't even touch her hair anymore.

Sian stared at his fist and was determined to get stronger in order for him to fight alongside these siblings.

"Why do you look like you're about to cry?" Shou said, panicking. He violently looked at Sian. "Did you do something to make her feel dejected?" He glared at Sian.

Sian sighed, saying, "Why don't you try to have a spar with her? She was dejected because you guys always do your best to avoid sparring with her. Do you know how hurt she felt?"

Shou, being the youngest among the sons, was more emotional than his siblings. He was almost the same as his only sister, Cathy.

"What?" Shou looked at his sister. "Do you really feel that way?"

Even though Cathy does not feel that way, when she saw Sian's eyes, she could catch the answer. Aside from Sian, her brothers were stronger than her. Thus, they will surely be able to fight fiercely.

"Brother, will you guys avoid me?" she asked, narrowing her eyes. "I don't have any strong people to train with," she said, trying to act cute and pitiful.

Seeing this, Sian almost jumped. He was bewildered to see the strong, innocent omega acting pitiful. He couldn't expect her to be able to act like this.

Shou does not know what to do; he doesn't know what to say. In the end, he scratched the back of his head. "I... I will talk about this to our older brothers, okay?"

The pitiful eyes in Cathy's eyes twinkled for a second after her brother said those words.

"Really?" she asked with a lot of energy.

Shou winched. He doesn't know if he did the right thing or not. "Yes," he answered.

He doesn't want his sister to be unhappy, and seeing her look pitiful, he couldn't take it. He sighed and tried to think about how he was going to pursue his brother to have a sparing time with Cathy. They all know that she was strong. However, with the strong and unique physique of the alphas, he does not know if their little sister will be able to take it.

"Are you worried about me?" Cathy asked, seeing her brother looking at her with worried eyes.

Shou nodded his head. "Alphas and omegas had a lot of gaps in terms of strength. Thus, we're worried about you. It wasn't because you're not strong; it was because we don't know what will happen. You know how alphas fight, right? We are more aggressive. Even if you're our sister, as soon as we fought, it did not matter to us anymore. Also, you're an omega. We will be having an urge to make you submit."

Hearing his brother's reasoning, Cathy bit her lower lips. She couldn't take those words. "No one will know what will happen if I fight with you. It will only happen to a normal omega, and I am not."

The determination in Cathy's eyes caught Shou off guard. He stared into his sister's eyes. It wasn't the cute puppy eyes that she always gave them. Her eyes are full of determination and the desire to fight. It was as if her being an omega was only a mistake.

Cathy went towards Sian and held him hand in hand, helping him to stood up.

"Cathy-"

"Brother Shou!" Cathy called with a smile. "Help me?"

Shou Smith. The third son of the Duke of North, he is one of the strongest of the pack except for their two older brothers.

If the siblings were to be ranked, Shou was the third strongest, and below him was Cathy, the only female and omega of the family.

"What are you doing to Cathy!" shouted Shou.

Cathy and Sian looked at each other because of Shou's shouting. They did not know why it screamed.

"Huh? Big brother Shou, are you okay?" Cathy asked, confused by what was happening.

"Why are you clinging to Cathy!?" He shouted while pointing at Sian.

Not only Sian's but also Cathy's jaw dropped. The two knew how protective they were of Cathy, but from what Sian witnessed today, she never thought it would get to this point.

"Are you kidding, big brother Shou?" Cathy said with a raised eyebrow. "I'm just helping Sian. If you hadn't disappeared like a bubble, this wouldn't have happened. Look what happened to Sian. You're the same; you don't want me to get stronger."

For the second time, Sian stared again. He also did not think that Cathy would be able to spin his older siblings in the palm of her hand. He swallowed saliva because of what he witnessed and realized.

'Sisters are really scary,' Sian said in his mind.

Although his whole body was in pain from Cathy's punches and kicks, Sian forced himself to stand properly and said goodbye to the two. Sian doesn't want to be stuck with the two siblings anymore because he knows that he won't get out of this either.

"Cathy, I'll go first. I'll drive myself to the clinic. Don't worry, I won't tell your mom." Sian bowed as a sign of respect to the two people in front of him and then completely left.

"He's not trying to hit on you?" Shou asked her sister in disbelief.

Cathy clenched her fist, took a deep breath, and forced herself to calm down. With her third brother's behavior, she knew it would happen. Even so, she also knows in herself why they suddenly disappear when she invites them to sparring.

"Brother Shou," Cathy said softly.

Even though it was soft and beautiful to the ear, Shou could feel the uniqueness in his younger sister's voice. It was inevitable that he would not be terrified because of that.

Shou hesitantly turned to his younger sister. "Why?" This is an innocent question.

"If you're going to think bad things, why aren't you my sparring partner?" She smiled mischievously.

Shou was momentarily stopped by what his younger sister, Cathy, said. His jaw dropped. Even so, he still managed to calm down. It stood up properly and then pretended to cough.

"Cathy, you know that third big brother Shou is very busy, right? Also, I'm not thinking badly about you and Sian. Don't be angry, okay?"

"Third big brother, Shou..."

Shou gulped, and there was a bead of sweat on his forehead. "Ah! I remember! I still have something to do, Cathy. Sorry, I won't be here much longer!"

Cathy just shook her head when she saw her third-oldest brother leave in a hurry. She smiled completely when Shou left the training hall and then sighed.

She looked at her clenched fist and then tightened it even more. Cathy will not be strong if the people around her consider her weak. She is happy that they give him love and care, and she is happy to receive them. But now, she doesn't know if it's really for her or not. Even more when they know about her inner wolf.

As a northern werewolf, it is normal for her to have a white inner wolf color, and when they shapeshift, it is also normal for all of them to have white fur. But this is not the case with Cathy. When Cathy shapeshifted for the first time, it caused chaos in their pack. Not only in her family but in the whole north.

Cathy's fur when she shapeshifted into her wolf form, it was silver, and it looked like there was stardust around her, and she was glowing. When she transforms into a wolf, the color of her fur is as white as the snow that falls in their area. It's even whiter here sometimes that made it look like silver.

Cathy sighed. Because her sparring was over, Cathy came out. The other warriors around her immediately greeted her, and Cathy did the same.

When Cathy passed through the west wing, she looked at the forest near it. The forest where she and her friend used to play when they were young. She doesn't know why they were separated when they were both young and innocent, and that's one of the reasons why Cathy wanted to leave the north.

Cathy wants to enter the W Academy because she knows that there she will see her childhood friend again. The two of them promised then that they would both study at W Academy and become good students as well as each other's rivals, but at this time, she had not gotten his father's permission and approval towards this matter.

"Cathy?"

Cathy turned around, immediately seeing her mother's smiling face.

"Mother."

Her mother frowned and asked, "Why are you here?" Cathy could see that her mother had something to say. "Do you remember that boy again?" she asked, with concern mixed in her face and voice.

Of all the people in her family, Cathy knows that her mother is the easiest to read. It shows her emotions on her face without hesitation.

"I just remembered him when I passed by," Cathy answered truthfully. "Why are you here? The main building is far from here," she asked.

Cathy's mother sighed as she said this. "Your father asked for help to find something in the treasure room."

Cathy nodded her head. The treasure room was indeed near where she was right now. However, she couldn’t think of the reason why her family was so wary when she was thinking about the child she used to play with. Because, after all, it was the only person she could call a friend.
