"I'm deeply sorry for the delay," Henry stated regretfully as he took his seat, acknowledging the inconvenience he had caused. "I was caught up in an urgent phone call that required my immediate response." He said upon noticing their mixed expressions.

To be honest, the only reason why he had faked a call was to get Abigail and her father to discuss some private matters.

He contended with the dilemma of not wanting to disrupt the conversation with her father due to his presence. In a moment of necessity, he had racked his brain for a solution, ultimately resorting to the only tactic that presented itself, and that was fabricating a phone call.

"It must be a very long call then" Abigail felt her heart melt, she wanted to hug him and tell him how much she loved him but she stopped herself from doing so.

Even without him telling her, she knew that he had left only because he wanted to give them some privacy.

"Thank you, Henry," Mr. Williams remarked with a gracious smile.

Ok…that witch is CRAZY!!! Why is Mr. Williams staying with her when he has proof she’s been poisoning him? I really hope he lives and isn’t killed by that wicked woman.
