CHICHIThe secretary to the company knocked on Chichi's office and enters with a file, she drops the file on Chichi's table and informs her about the new update of the proposal defense which was formerly scheduled for Twelve noon but has now been moved by two hours. Chichi finds it very uncomfortable because she will be delayed by extra hours that she might not be getting paid for, she asked the secretary what might have caused the change in time and plan because it just affected hers, the secretary informs her that the boss of the said company is meant to be present at the defense but had some delay so he called few minutes ago for a reschedule. Chichi had no choice but to wait, this is a huge deal and she plans to seal it because it paves way for her promotion which attracts higher pay, bonus and she could even be retained at the new branch. Nora wonders what the problem could be because her organization barely calls all the staff together for a meeting. CHICHIChichi relished every bit of the aesthetics of the neighborhood as her driver approached Louisana. From the sidewalk to the beautiful trees acting as sheds, the neighborhood is filled with high-rise buildings. The distance from the gate to the company seems endless and extremely beautiful, the smell of luxury filled the air. It's a huge firm with extraordinary architectural values, She couldn't but appreciate the structure, the design, and the quality of everything that caught her eyes as they drive in.She alights from the taxi and walks briskly to the reception, the interior is no way compared to the exterior. She could tell that the CEO does have an exquisite taste, from the floor she walks on to the glass doors that opened to welcome her. The paintings on the wall are originals directly from the painter, she knows a little about paintings but she can tell these are limited editions, perhaps one design to have existed. SUSANIt's been eight weeks since Henry left for Scotland, being all by herself in the house keeps making Susan sick. Henry gets to call once or twice a day and some days, he doesn't call at all. She knows he has been avoiding her recently because of her constant inquiry for updates regarding the job he promised to get for her, his attitude is starting to piss her off and she wishes she hadn't relocated with him. She would have had someone to hang out with and talk to more often other than keeping to herself if she was an outgoing person but she barely steps out of her house except on rare occasions which has made it harder for her to make new friends since she arrived in the states. The only option she has other than going to the grocery store to shop or going for a walk is to make lengthy calls with her mother to complain bitterly and most times she doesn't want to bug her with calls because her complaints were getting too consistent. Her friends who would have been a better option
