CHAPTER FIFTY

CHICHI

Chichi can feel everyone's gaze on her as she walks into the office that morning. it's been two days of her absence, they obviously thought she had been sacked since she cleared her table the last time she was there. She acts like she didn't hear their side whispers, nor notice their piercing gaze, she knocks on the Managing director's office and walks in.

"Good morning sir" she draws out the chair opposite the managing director and takes her seat. "Good morning Chioma, how did the meeting go this time?" he asks her with hopes that she screwed it over like before since she is not good for anything than ruining their chances, she scoffs at his unimpressed gaze and replies him boldly "I sealed the deal". The M.D is taken back by her statement, he doesn't know how to react but he couldn't conceal the fact that he never expected to hear good news, not after the stunt she had pulled in the presence of the board of directors two days ago, he had to be sure she is not pulling his legs
