Wildest Dream

Summary

“How about let’s get away?” he suddenly muttered beside me. A frown spread through my face while my head slowly, “adik ka ba? You want me to get killed by my parents Brye?” I laughed slightly at his remarks. He laughs as well with me, “why? It’s not like the first time you told them a white lie” he smirked, looking at me sideways from the seat. Both of them were inside his car, he gripped the wheel while the silence engulfed them and the only that they can hear is the soft tune of music from his phone. “Seryoso?” I ask him once again, tilting my head to him. “Hmm, that depends sayo, I’m just suggesting” he sing-song the last part, his lips curling into a smirk.  A knowing smirk that tells her that he knows that she already agreed with him. Liana rolls her eyes, “you know that I’d say yes already, didn’t you?” she plainly stated to him, while Brye smiled. “what? I said I was suggesting, it’s a yes or no question, you always judge me too much” he playfully pouted his lips at her, taking a short and quick glance. “Kilala kita, you just want to drink again” she threw him a smirk, making the man who sat in the driver’s seat smirk as well.

After that, they fell into another silence, their surrounding was filled with a few cars that pass theirs. It wasn’t fast and it wasn’t slow either, Brye was driving at the right speed, almost as if he doesn’t want to go home as well. Even though their campus isn’t even that too far from their building, it still felt like they were taking forever to reach home.  “Saan ba?” Liana was the one to break the silence after a while, he takes a glance at her, “someplace that I know” he muttered, making her frown, “think of a white lie to tell your parents and friends, then leave the place to me” he added with a smile on his face, steering the wheel to take a turn from the usual route they always take. As if a frown was stuck on her face, she reached for her phone before typing white lies, connected to each in case another asks another. Pressing the send button took time but eventually, she turned her phone off and placed it inside her bag before throwing it into the backseat. Liana rests her head on the headrest, “Saan ba tayo pupunta? Kailangan ba top secret?” she looks at him while watching him drive, “I said, someplace I know, go sleep, when you wake up, we’re already there, don’t worry, I’m not going to murder my favorite girl” he smiled before she rolls her eyes playfully at him. A smile was planted on their faces as they faced the road in front of them. The backlights of the car in front of them reflect through her eyes, making her eyes hurt and shutting them.

After the chaotic day that she had today, maybe it was fine to say that she deserve to at least have a good sleep. Her head was getting heavier each minute dropped, “you can rest a little, I think we’ll be stuck in short traffic” he mumbled to her, before reaching his hoodie from the back seat and draping it to her. Her eyes fluttered closed while facing the man beside her, “good night” whilst closing her eyes, his smile was the last thing she saw before darkness completely engulfed her.

The soft roar of the car and the cold wind woke Liana up, her eyelids fluttering open to see well-maintained fields to her side. Streetlights were on and you drive past each time. She turned to Brye, “morning sleeping beauty” he smiled before carefully and gently swerving the car to a rest house. A frown formed on her face in confusion but not uttering a word. The car halts after he parked it perfectly inside the garage, and turns the engine off. He faced her, “just in time” Brye walks out of the car before approaching hers and opening it. Liana walks out of the car, hugging the hoodie and looking at the huge house in front of her. “San ‘to?” she turned to Brye with confusion obvious on her face. “Hmm, it’s my family’s it’s disregarded since, I don’t know, they probably forgot about it already” he shrugged before swirling the keys on his slender and long fingers. Liana followed him after he opened the house, switching the lights open.

The house was huge. The combination of green, brown and beige was soothing for her eyes. Fascination was evident in Liana’s eyes while watching the designs and interiors of the house, the wide, thick sliding door that separated the backyard and the kitchen. “I don’t understand bakit madidisregard ‘tong place, it’s worth the time para magpahinga dito” she muttered while striding along the series of pictures displayed. “Ganon na ba katagal since you last visit here for a picture like this to be displayed?” she added before holding a picture of his family. There are his parents, his two brothers, and Brye in the picture. Meanwhile, while she walked around the place, Brye only stood in the living room watching her in adoration. His eyebrows raised when he heard her ask him a question. He let out a breathy laugh, “yeah, one of the reasons why it was forgotten and disregarded was because it’s been so long since we went here, I even took the keys from my dad’s drawer without him noticing it was gone” he shrugged before approaching her.

Liana stared at the picture, smiling fondly at the people who smiled. She could see Brye when he was a kid, he has a missing tooth and yet he smiled so big. His parents smiled so wide as well, and so were his brothers. A little chuckle escaped from her lips before noticing that he was already close behind her. She looks up to meet him before smiling, “cute mo dati, anyare?” Liana giggled, making the man look down at her smile. He held her face in his hands, squishing her cheeks gently. “I got hot, I guess” he shrugged with a smirk. Liana raised a brow at him, “yeah, hot-tempered” she rolled her eyes playfully at him before they broke into a fit of small laughter. They fell into a deep silence after that, staring into each other’s eyes.

“I hope moments like these could last” her voice was raspy, muttering those words while she turned to face the man that held her. Brye’s hands fell down to her waist gently and pulled her closer. “Maybe they can” he whispered to her while leaning down to meet her forehead. He placed a soft, fluttering kiss on her temples before placing his forehead on hers. “I wished I met you sooner Brye” Liana closed her eyes with a frown, recalling all the things that had to happen before everything else before things had come down to whatever had happened. “Siguro di ako naging tanga, siguro matagal na wala yung naramdaman ko na yon” she adds while biting her bottom lip softly.

“Mhh, then, if we ever met earlier, what do you think will happen?” he swayed them to a tune that rang into their heads. While the silence stretched, from a disregarded rest house and crickets making annoying sounds from the outside, they entered another place. The soft tune was their music to their soft dance, the place was dimly lit and filled with comfort. The lights came from the moon and the stars. They were surrounded by nothing but a field. That was it, their own simple world where they could only feel comfort from each other. “Maybe if that really happened, siguro we’ll be healed and happy at this time” she smiled before opening her eyes to look at him.

Brye stared at her, a smile appearing on his face, pulling her more than ever. “I’d love that, and I’d love you for how long we last” he smiled, pressing his lips on hers. A kiss to seal the world they were in. A shred of evidence that ethereal moments as that time exists. She snakes her arms around his neck to pull him closer. Their lips meeting each other, he bites down her bottom lip to slither his tongue inside, making her let out a soft whine. The kiss that started as soft as a feather was now getting rough and hot, turning into a complete make-out session.

As they opened their eyes, they were already laying on the soft cushion, panting. Brye was hovering over her and kissing down to her neck and collar, leaving light sucks and kisses. He pulls away eventually and faced her again with a silly smile on his face. He was the wildest dream that she always had.
