CHAPTER 1

               LIGHT'S POV

My name is Light, Light Greyjoy, daughter of Liara and Aaron Greyjoy. Although most people say you act as you're named, some say your name determines what you are.

However, I was different or maybe they were hypocrites, as in my case, I was the complete opposite of my name, I was darkness, I was terror and I was destruction.

I didn't bring joy and happiness like my parent and everyone else expected, rather I was the terror that hunted their night. I was their darkness, I was their pain, their fear, and their tears. I light greyjoy, was the greatest villain of my time.

Sometimes I wonder why my parents named me Light, I guess they didn't see what was to come or they would have named me Terror or Darkness instead.

My reign as a queen was full of bloodshed, sorrow, and agony, until that faithful day, my life was brought to an end by a powerful king.

Now as I stand in the afterlife, my life replays before my eyes and each time it shows the scenery of him beheading me, my teeth and fist clenched in anger, my blood boils with fury and my heart screams for revenge.

"Light greyjoy, you've been given a second chance to live." The god of life announced, bringing me back to the present.

"A second chance?" I repeated, staring at him in complete shock. I thought only those whose deeds were good in their past life_ they were the only ones given a second chance, why am I also getting a second chance? Are the gods not tired of the cries of the innocent? Or have they gone completely crazy?

Why would they allow a villain like me to live? Or perhaps they knew that no story was complete without a villain.

However, it was foolish of me to think of the gods as crazy, they knew what they were doing when they gave me a second chance and not just that, it was at a price.

...

I was dressed in a black dress as I made my way to the ceremony. Today the Alpha king was going to pick a set of human concubines, not sure why he needed them, probably because he was yet to find a mate or because he wanted to strengthen the relationship between werewolves and humans, but sadly I was going to be among them.

"Come on honey, you should put on a smile. It would be an honor if you're chosen by Alpha Alister," Mom muttered, wearing a bright smile on her face.

Honor she says_ to some it might be an honor, but to me, it was as though I was selling my freedom and my virtue.

This was my second life, and I had no memory of my past life. It was like I was reborn, with my fierceness and ego, however, there was no desire to kill or hurt others like before...

As I made my way into the beautiful big mansion, a deep scowl was plastered on my face. A scowl that I hope would tell the alpha king to back off, I was not made to be a concubine, that to of a werewolf.

However, from what I've heard, he was very powerful, ruthless, and fearless, he was not just any werewolf but a Lycan, meaning a mere human like me wouldn't be able to scare him. So I quickly hid amongst the crowd, where I was safe from his ravishing eyes or so I thought.

"Let the ceremony begin," a man who seem to be in his early thirties announced, making the girls cheer in excitement.

I didn't get why they were happy, shouldn't they wail, or at least feel a little bothered about their predicament? After all, they were only going to be concubines, and nothing more. I was still lost in thoughts when the hall went into a state of uproar. "It's the Alpha King," they chorused, ogling and fangirling at him.

If I was unaware, I would have thought, it was some kind of music concert and the girls were cheering for their favorite idol who was about to perform. And from what I've heard, the Alpha king was extremely handsome. My mom would often speak of how breathtaking he was and would always try to show me pictures of him but for some reason, I wasn't interested in seeing what he looked like.

However, standing amongst the crowd, there was this sense of curiosity luring me. I wanted to know if what they said was true, or if they were just exaggerating. With that in mind, I tilted my head a little, at the same time raising my legs a bit to get a clear view of him.

An involuntary gasp escaped my lips when I caught sight of him because I was shocked to see that their words did no justice to his looks. he was not just breathtaking, he looked completely out of this world. He was the epitome of gorgeousness and he had low-cut hair, a chiseled jaw, pink heart-shaped lips, and most of all abnormal eyes, which unknown to me was staring back at me until he pointed at me and spoke in a deep enchanting voice.

"You, I choose you."

No, it can't be. I wasn't ready to accept that I was chosen, so I immediately squatted, praying and hoping that I was imagining things.

'Take a deep breath, deep breath Light, he didn't choose you, it's someone else. Maybe someone behind you, or in front of you,' I told myself repeatedly, trying to calm my racing heart. Nonetheless, even my heart refused to believe it.

"Why are you hiding from me? you can hide all you want, however, it won't stop you from being mine," his voice echoed throughout the entire hall, making my heart almost fall out of its cage. Regardless, I stubbornly remained in my squatting position. But like they say, you can't change your destiny, you can't change what's meant to be, because before I could fathom what was going on, he was standing right before me.

"You will be my fifth concubine," his voice was firm and commanding, while his gaze bore through mine.
