Chapter 40

JACE’S POV

I walked out of the room as I wanted to leave Bianca to process the reality of this false engagement by herself. Moreover, staying in the room with her after letting her know I wouldn’t be having anything with her, could only make matters worse and cause her to start asking questions which could get me frustrated.

I headed off to the lounge as that was the perfect place right now to be alone, and of course, I would puff away the dampened feeling I had for accepting to marry Bianca.

On getting to the lounge, I sat, and helped myself with a pack of cigarette and a bottle of alcohol. Then I leaned my back on the seat as I light up my cigarette and placed it in between my lips, then sucked in the air, and released it as a puff.

At the snap of my fingers, a classic music came on.

“Perfect.” I uttered under my breath. In no time, the air was filled with smoke, and I shut my eyes to drown in my thoughts.
