Chapter 44

JACE’S POV

“Jace, I don’t think you can trust him.” Bianca yelled out to me, but I ignored her.

My father whom I loved very much was back to life and even more back to his senses; why would I run from him? He was right on a wheel chair due to the slash he got from Alpha Diablo. I didn’t notice that Fredo was right behind him, helping him push the wheel chair, and lastly, I was shocked to see Alpha Diablo behind him as well.

My father seemed to be the one with the authority this time, and it was quite satisfying that Alpha Diablo was under my father, this time. For someone as powerful as him, who would have ever known that he could also be killed by the zombies?

I moved closer to my father, not minding the other zombies around him, so I bent to him and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tight, almost feeling tears build up in my eyes.
