Chapter 37

Leah’s POV

I am pacing back and forth anxiously in the command center waiting for any news from Alpha Dimitri and his pack.

I am with the elders right now who is as equally worried as I am.

I continued with my pacing when I notice elder Lilia looking at me intently.

I can’t take her staring so I stopped and face her.

“Is something wrong elder Lilia?”

She looked startled when I speak as if a child caught stealing from a candy jar.

“Oh.. uhm… you see.”

Elder Lilia walked closer to me while squinting her eyes.

She stared again for a second before opening her mouth.

“I just realize now. You look very familiar yet I couldn’t figure out where I saw you before.”

Her eyes are scrutinizing my face as if I am a puzzle she wanted to solve.

I felt conscious and at the same time nervous.

As I said before, eighteen years is a very long time. I barely remember my way back home more so remembering who I truly am.

I am not ready to be seen again. To be remembered by anyone.
