16 - In the woods
Darius and Herrick moved through the dense parts of the woods, manoeuvring their way through the trees and bushes and rocks. "He should be here somewhere," Darius said.
"It still baffles me why any lycan in his right senses would choose to create an abode in these parts of the woods where danger lurks in every nook and cranny," Herrick said as he pushed a branch out of his path.
Darius chuckled, "Well, Moon's Call is not just any lycan, is he? He seems to enjoy the thrill in these parts. I must admit that living in isolation has helped him hone his skills."

Elaine turned as she heard footsteps and visibly sighed in relief when she noticed it was the men. "Where have you two been? You are almost late for breakfast. Medea walked in moments later and happily acknowledged everyone present in the room which was not unusual of her. Medea was nineteen winters just like Claire and she was spirited and very friendly. Everyone watched Lycidas as he leaned down, picked up the chair and set it right while the boy muttered an inaudible “thank you” and nervously sat down, but warily pulled his chair away from Lycidas to keep some safe space between them. Once they were alone, Theresa had a chance to scrutinize her supposed mate. His features were strong and his somewhat chiselled face was handsome. His eyes were beautiful and distinct and he had a fierce aura despite his quiet demeanour.
