They walked side by side. Lucius had to shorten his steps to balance her small steps. She was tiny compared to him.

“Lucius,” she called him, and his guards gasped when they heard her calling his given name casually like that.

“Oh, my bad! I mean… King, uh–” she flustered, trying to correct how she must address him.

But Lucius only chuckled when he saw that and did not correct her.

“It’s Your Majesty,” Shiraz jumped in from behind them. “You should call him His Majesty or Your Majesty,” he said.

“Oh, yes, right. So, Your Majesty… can I get your permission to go to Ariadne Forest?” she asked him again.

“Come again?” he asked. Making sure he heard her right.

“I want to check the forest,” she replied.

“There’s nothing there,” he replied curtly.

He would not permit her to go there without him.

“Why do you want to go there?” he sent her an inquisitive look. But inside, his wolf was angry that he would lose his Luna.
