Chapter 6

Aliyah Sundane

“Alessandro!” I called frantically. I couldn’t shake off the unnerving feeling as I looked at him unconscious in my arms.

Quickly Daniel rushed in and helped me put him in bed. “Aliyah could you please step out for a bit.” He said.

I walked round the corner to shake my fears off so I could think. How do I help him if I don’t know what is wrong with hmm. And clearly from Daniels attitude he wouldn’t want to tell me any more so I guess I have to wait.

“Daniel what’s wrong with him?” I asked. “Daniel please I need an explanation.” I said. He stayed quiet and I knew it might not be good. Sensing Daniel’s reluctance I refrained from saying anymore. Finally Daniel said “He is the best person to explain his situation. So when he wakes up you guys can sort it out.”

I woke up to bright light that were directed straight into my eyes. Who lifted up the blinds this early? And for how long had I been out. I was about to stand when I saw Aliyah sleeping beside me. I will becareful not to wake her. And I hope she didn’t see my eyes. How strange… I knew I felt strange but to pass out…?

Quietly I got up and walked outside. It was awfully quiet and perharps Daniel had sacked everyone so I won’t have to hide. This is not good, I will have to go home soon and ask for my mothers wise council. At my age there are some things I need help deciding.

I will have to avoid Aliyah for some time.

Aliyah Sundane

Since he woke up he has been distant. I did everything, go out with friends, stay out. He didn’t even complain. What exactly did I do for him to ignore me? I knew that he sent some men to watch me so he still cares in a way. But how am I supposed to live with a person like this who is at times closed off at times and other times happy. I am sure he is hiding something from me.

It’s been 5 days since I saw Alessandro. He doesn’t come out to meet me. He only states he is fine from behind the door or through text. Does he really expect me to be okay with that kind of communication. What does he mean? I sat on my bed all day long,

One time with my unwanted bodyguards I went to the club. I couldn’t take the boredom anymore. There I met a friend. “Hello new girl.” She said. New girl? I didn’t understand what she meant by that. Initially I was on the defense but later taking another glance at her I noticed her delicate features and relaxed. There is no way she would be dangerous. “Come on. Let’s dance." The guy beside her said. And so we danced.

Immediately I came home that day Alessandro called me.

“Where were you off to?” He asked sort of irritated. Is he serious? Did he think I would wait around till he is done with his tantrums. “None of your business!” I said. “Look Aliyah, I know the situation is most certainly is not ideal but...”

“Leave me alone.” I said irritated and hang up. If going out will get his attention then I would continue to do so.

“I can’t continue like this.” I told Daniel. “I need to see her. And the more she misunderstands me the more she drifts away.” I said. “Okay then see her. Just make sure you don’t lose control.” He said. “Of course.” I said. I will never hate my mate.

I walked over to her room and knocked. But there was silence.

“Aliyah?” I said.

“Aliyah please open the door it’s me.” I said in a softer tone. Then the door opened. “Aliyah…” I said as I looked her over. She had lost some weight and didn’t look herself. Was it it because of me she looked like that?

I couldn’t help but feel guilty. Well I was about to make it up to her.

“Come closer.” I said as I sat on her bed. Slowly she came and laid down on my laps. I played with her long hair and stared at her face as she giggled. The dark circles arund my eyes had reduced that’s why I could dare look at her. “You look tired.” She said. “I am.” I replied.

“Why didn’t you want me to see you.” She said and touched my face. Suddenly I felt the urge to push her and I did. And as I looked at my hands I realized why.

I almost transformed. I can’t believe I almost transformed. Fortunately only my claws appeared which I quickly hid. I hope she didn’t see them or worse hurt her. I looked at her terrified eyes. “What was that?” She said holding her bleeding arm.

“I am sorry. I will get someone to take care of that for you.” I said and left.

I can’t believe it. It’s been a week since he hirt me. And as usual I still have no answer. There is always not an immediate answer for the things that go on in this house.

Again he drifted away from me. All I required was an explanation for the last time. I know he felt bad hurting me but i wasnt even angry. All I meeded was an explanation… Enough is enough. My next move will be extreme….

“Where is Aliyah?” I said sitting facing the wall and not my table. Apart from Daniel I don’t want anyone to see my face. “Where is she?” I asked again. “She’s is at her friend’s place.” Karin said. “Kale?” I asked. “No…” He said hesitantly. “Once she is safe you can go. Just get me a picture of the person and every last one detail of the person.” I said. “Yes boss.” He said.

I know perfectly well what Aliyah is doing. She is trying to get my attention. She doesn’t know because she is my mate she will always have it.

Staying away from her is far from my intention.

A full moon seems to be approaching and I am just not stable. As soon as it passes. I will talk to her again. Yes, it’s unfair but I can’t find a better solution. All this will be better when I can finally tell her the truth but for now I can’t find a better solution.

I headed outside. Stood on the balcony and looked up. My life is so complicated. I couldn’t help but remember an old friend of mine. He was like my bestfriend and right hand… before Daniel.

Now is not the time to get sad. I went to Aliyah’s room, it was not too messy but could certainly be better though. Her room was filled with her scent which I loved so much. At least if I can’t be near her I can come here.

Thinking about her, I realized she hadn’t texted me today. Everyday she leaves messages but today she hasn’t texted. And it got me worried. Very worried. I tried to remain calm…

Then I received a call from her phone….
