“Sarah,” a weak sound escaped her dried lips.

Her eyes, cheeks, skin had lost color, but that didn’t matter. I hugged her tightly. The monitor beeped more.

“I’m- so- sorry,” she struggled to say but I shook my head, so happy to see her.

The nurses rushed into the room. “Please, move away from the patient.” They told me.

Stephanie gasped, and let out a groan. “Everyone leave! I need to stable her!” the lead Nurse yelled, and we were pushed out.
