Chapter Twenty

Lilith 

  I awoke from a loud banging on the door, I tried to wake Ruby but she grumbled in her sleep and turned over. I looked at the clock and swore, because it was already seven in the morning we had slept through all the alarms. I rushed and pulled on a robe and my slippers then went to quickly answer the door. I stood shocked to see my grandfather and Annalise standing in front of me. 

"What happened!?" I asked worried. 

"Nothing this big oaf wanted to say good morning and he couldn't wait any longer," Annalise answered.

"Big Oaf!?" my grandfather whipped his head to glare at Annalise. 

"Here we go again," I remarked while trying to hold in my laughter. 

  I waved for them to come inside and they followed me to sit on the couch while I made a pot of coffee. I loved that I had this little family and I could now enjoy moments like this.
