Fourteen

Sydney's POV

The heavily tiled wall of the kitchen stared back at me as I tried to control my anger. Sitting on a chair Mrs. Grayson got me with my head resting on the cold tiled wall, my temperature only went up. I felt like I was in a furnace.

I closed my eyes forcefully in an attempt to push the tears back. They escape though narrowly. The tears that flowed through my closed lids made things feel better so I just stayed that way.

Images of my sons appeared in my mind. Not surprising. Both of them with their loosely curled black hair — such handsome children.

Nick was the noisy one, just any child would be. Always playing and seeking attention, my hazel-eyed son was the very helpful of the two, constantly asking if he could help me with things. His sharp jaw showed the promises of a gorgeous man in the future. He was also a little tall for his age.
