Chapter Eleven

Why is it always a werewolf?

I clenched my fist in anger. First my parents and now my friend. How many more people are going to lose their live because of these goddamn werewolves?

“Where is she?” My vision blurred as tears well up in my eyes.

“She’s alright don’t worry but she is resting at the infirmary,” he said in a low voice.

I immediately pulled the door open, but just as I was to leave, he grabbed my hand firmly. “Don’t forget what I said. Go far awayfrom here as possible and do not believe whatever he might have told you.”

I nodded and snatched my hand away. I really wanted to ask more questions and find out why he was so scared of Matt and what he meant by, ‘don’t allow him to hurt you again’.

But Eva was more important, I needed to see her and make sure she was feeling okay. I ran out of the church and made my way into the orphanage building. The orphanage was old, with squeaky wooden floors and always smelt of antiseptic and moss.
