On Their Way To The Cemetery,

Lucas's statement echoed in Heidi's mind. Sitting inside the car, she was starkly aware of his presence.

He regretted divorcing her?

Hadn't he only developed an interest in her after the divorce because he found out she was a heiress?

Or had she been having the wrong thoughts?

Heidi couldn't help but ask the question currently bugging her mind. “If the AG Group no longer exists one day and the Olsens Family loses their influence, will you still regret divorcing me?”

“A day like that will never come…” His reply wasn't what she anticipated until he spoke his next words. “Neither the AG Group nor the Olsens Family will ever fall under my watch.”

“And if in case something like that happens…” One hand left the steering wheel and he dropped it on her hand, rubbing it. “Know that I will never stop loving you, Heidi.”

A sudden knot in Heidi's heart tightened.
