Chapter five

SEBASTIAN.

"Don't kill her! Don't try it." My wolf yelled from within, obviously worried at the rage that had engulfed me.

I couldn't think clearly and wanted to kill her. Her audacity infuriated me the most.

She thought she was sleek, that she could do what she wanted and get away with it. The image of my dead guards found its way back to my mind, angering me the more.

How she had managed to kill some of my finest guards on her own was something I couldn't fathom, but I was going to make her pay until the last guard there was avenged.

I growled in anger as my wolf began to tug relentlessly in a bid to take over and stop me from killing her. The pain stopped me immediately and I let go of her neck before grabbing her up roughly, hurling her across my shoulder.

"Stay back and watch. We need to make sure she didn't contact her Kind while on the run. The rest of you, gather the dead guard and have their bodies readied. They will be burnt tonight." I commanded the guards before I started to walk back the Pack.

Her defiance only served to make me more and more angry but at the same time it gave me an inexplicable excitement that was only quenched by the strange satisfaction I felt now.

Was it the satisfaction of nearly killing her or seeing her in pain? I didn't know.

But I was never letting her slip away ever again. One of my guards, seeing her pitiful state, walked towards me with his brows creased in worry and a bit of caution.

"Do you need us to take her to the hospital?" He wouldn't be saying this if he saw what this beast of a rogue had done to his fellow guards. I gave him a quick glare that unsettled him immediately.

"I'll take care of her myself." I said, crossing the moat and gradually taking the empty rugged walk that led to the dungeon.

I wasn't going to allow any of the doctors near this murderer because she could kill them in the bid to escape. Once I got to the warden's section, I ordered an ice cold bucket of water which arrived soon enough.

Laying her on the ground, I emptied on her immediately, causing her to jolt awake instantly. She sputtered, retched and gasped for breath.

Still angry, I bent down and gave her a blinding slap that had her dazed for a minute or two. She had no idea where she was and was still trying to come in terms with her resurrection.

"Sebastian, stop!" My wolf growled in annoyance as soon as I kicked her side, causing her to curl up and sputter. She was a terrible sight at this point, and I didn't mind making it worse.

"You don't tell me what I'm supposed to do. She is my subject, and she killed my guards. I have every right to do to her and with her whatever I desire." I growled back, contemplating if I should grab her head and tear open her skull.

In anger, I kicked her again until my wolf intervened yet again. Something about this beast wasn't right, I thought.

Her escaping my Pack was one thing, but her lack of caution made her very foolish and dim-witted, like every other rogue. I was very much determined to make her understand what she had done to me.

Few minutes later, she came back to her senses and sat up, her breathing coming back to normal. She looked up at me, a look of bewilderment crossing her features.

"Tough luck." She said, chuckling.

I reached down a second time, viciously striking her on the belly. She grabbed her stomach in pain and screamed in pain.

"I'm going to make sure you suffer!" I yelled before kicking her again.

"Fuck you!" She yelled in response.

"What did you say to me?!" I replied, pretending I didn't hear what she had just said.

"Fuck-" another blow sent her sprawling on the floor again.

"Say it again!" I challenged her, my chest heaving.

But she was in pain, just how I wanted it. I reached for her again and grabbed her hair, before dragging her all the way down to the end of the dim passageway where there was a chain and a platform. Chaining her to it, I grabbed her torso and ripped it apart, leaving her bare.

Grabbing the whip, I took a good look, fighting the carnal urge that was slowly rising. I didn't stop whipping her until she was in tears, her body filled with dark stripes.

Mrs Aria was summoned soon after.

"My goodness!" The exclamation was followed as soon as she sighted her.

"She killed my men." I informed her, unlocking the chains that held her to the wall. She fell like a heap of rags.

"Make sure you don't let her out of your sight. I don't want any more surprises."

"Is she staying with us?" She asked. "And for how long?"

"Do what you're told to do, woman. And stop asking questions." I spat.

HAILEE.

I couldn't tell if I was dead or alive when the guards laid me on the bed and left.

"Hey!" The woman's whispers met my ears as she knelt beside me, her face filled with worries, surprisingly.

"You see what you've done to yourself? I tried to warn you." I kept staring at the ceiling, unable to move any part of my body.

"He asked me not to have the doctors touch you, so you're spending the night alone. But this should reduce the pain." She said before taking out a vial, opening it and forcing me to drink it.

I took it all in, without any form of resistance. Hearing some footsteps. She hurriedly left the room. It was the sound of the door, the creak, that reminded me what this place was.

It was at that point that I realized I was lying on my bed, the same place I was many years ago when my father was murdered right in front of me. I couldn't stop the tears that flowed after my discovery.
