Chapter 39: 4:30 in the Morning

Bella was awakened by Fiona's phone call, struggling to open her eyes and check the time. Four thirty in the morning?! Did this even count as early morning? What was Fiona up to? As soon as she answered the phone, she heard Fiona's weak and tired voice. Bella, also feeling drained, complained, "Four thirty in the morning! What urgent matter do you have to call me at this time for?" So tired!

"It's nothing, just insomnia."

"If we were on WhatsApp, I would flood you with disdainful emojis!" Fiona yawned, "I went to bed at nine last night, but couldn't fall asleep until midnight.
